What tutorials/demonstrations do you want to see?

Bladite- Thats awesome. I have it opened on another window as my background music.

I will stop after this vid I promise. This is my most recent build. Its a .308 that I made for my dad. I was developing a load for it and got one I was happy with so I made a vid with the remaining shots. I had no dope chart and it was 20mph winds. Shooting close range (300 yards) I was very pleased with it for the first day out. Actually sold two Leupolds and replaced with Ziess because of this build

ooh shiny :) though i think you need to use tactical oreos or something smaller. you keep hitting those big ones.

also, i see MANY videos if i follow the right link. someone has been busy.

Yeah, if you click on my channel name you can see all my stuff. Guns/bushcraft/jungle adventure...
Did the email go through with the tutorial stuff?

yup and yup.

i think my biggest quandary of late, is fitting a scope to my person, and my rifle, for best utility/etc. trial and error, though i know there's a science...

good enough at zeroing, that i volunteer to help random hunters who swing in for zeroing service. that's how i found out about those nice 10/22 and related peep sites on the market.

what i WANT, are rail mounted, folding sites, suitable for target use... the Sampson ones i saw have at least dual rear peeps for different distances... the rotary diopters are cool, but the ones i've seen are not accurate enough.

the Schutzen people are sometimes picky about optics/sights/builds.

Let me check my gun room tomorrow. I may have an older model 10/22 peep set from Tech-Sight that I don't use anymore. If I can find it any you need one let me know and I send it your way. Better to get used than sit in a drawer. It is the full TSR-200 model on this page. Has a flip up apature of two different sizes for close and longer range.

OH I could use that for my rabbit hunting, scopes are useless for jacks...

I will gladly take it off your hands....

yeah, tech sights - have installed and zeroed a few sets of those. they're nice :)

if they offered a railed model... i could use that for the 22 :) i DO have a LPA rear designed for my 22, and the factory front... many MOAs sadly, so good for teaching, not so good for shooting ticks :)

(homer)gun room(/homer) drooooooools

and here i thought i was fancy getting a matrix rest ;)

Nope, no rail model, wish they did, I would have it.
Gun room, YEP. My wonderfull loving wife bought me a 48 gun safe for my birthday. I have four loading benches set up permanently. On for pistol, shotgun, general rifle, and match loading, all with 4 stage rotary presses. I shoot competitively so I :D"kinda":D have an excuse.

Offered to Bladite first so lets wait to see if he could use it.:D

yeah, i don't have a 10/22. stuck with a SUPER nice savage with a scope and sig522 with rails (and LPA setup... but i want BETTER irons :>)

so, yah know ... TS though, generally, seem to rock out

Flexxx- remind me tomorrow (likely to forget) and I'll check. Pretty sure I know where it is.

sure, just send me an email or just a reply in this thread after 4pm.
One catch, gotta post a pic of some nice jacks after you nail em.

Excellent I can handle that.....

I will be getting a new Lathe soon and will be creating some gear, I will remember the favor....

deferred favors are good things ;)

mmm, lathes... turned titanium :)

the good background sound is the kid asking me to do it again, right at 2min10sec, "my shoulder hurts was his brother. The dad made them both shoot his 12ga. One loved it, the other not so muvh

I was shooting CCI cb-longs. Tiny 29 grain bullets at just 750fps. They are so quiet that I can shoot starlings from my bedroom window without bothering my neighbor. Can't hunt squirrels with them because past 20 yards they bounce off.

Oh well, got to be up in 4 hours for work.....
check back with you guys tomorrow

heh :) nothing sucks more than hitting something, and having it laugh at you :)

my local gun shoppe guy keeps taunting me with 22-250 stuff. seems amusing on the surface. very high velocity, very flat, more expensive than .22LR, .22WMR, and .223 ;) hahahah.

savage of course, makes a fascinating array of platforms. the .17 seems entertaining too. i expect .308 in in my future. .338 seems too mall ninja like.
