Going trough my collection, I kind a lost track wich knife I bought where and when in specific order, however I will never forget my first and last knife.

I bought my first knife at the age of 8. I bought it with my pops in the summer of 1978, it was a Buck usa folder. I still have that knife and I will give it to my son this summer when he become 8 years.

My last knife I bought yesterday it was the Spyderco Police C07 P Plainedge V-10. This knife goes for 200 euro in Holland, the shop gave me a 50% discount, so I couldn't resist taking it home. :)

I would love to hear the stories of other forum members regarding the first and last knife!

Regards.

The first knife I bought was probably some el cheapo/crappo Jaguar Spyderco knockoff. My last knife purchase was a small Schrade knife for 2 bucks at WM :) .

First one was a cheapo jaguar CE piece of junk......my last acquisition is/was a Spyderco Manix CE that I won off of ebay that will be on its' way to me this week to join its' PlainEdged twin. :D

Wow..that takes me back...hmmm

The first knife I remember buying for myself was a fixed blade hunter, can't remember the name, was about 30 years ago. Cheap steel and plastic fake stag handles.

The most recent was Sunday at a flea market, found a nice really sound Schrade 61OT Serpentine Stockman for $12.00.

First knife I bought was a valor balisong and the last knife I bought was a David Winston custom a few weeks ago.

The first knife that I "bought" was either a Buck 110 or an old butcher knife converted to a filet knife, really can't remember. The last one I bought was an EKI HD-7.

The first knife i bought myself was a delica knockoff at a fishing store for 8 dollars... huge ripoff, but i was young. My latest purchase is a BM690

That's going back a long ways...... I "think" mine was a SAK when I became a Scout Leader. My most recent purchase was Friday - Spyderco Native III/blue FRN/VG-10.

The first knife I bought myself would probably have been a small cheap SAK knock off, or possibly a KaBar made knife that somewhat resembled a mini Buck 110. Got them both around the same time on a trip and can't really remember which came first.

The last knife I bought was a Bill Buxton custom folder. 3-1/4" 52100 blade, black paper micarta scales, NS bolsters, titanium liner lock.

the first knife I can remember buying is a buck 102 in 1968 still have it.the last is on the way. siver twill G10 benchmade 705.

The first knife that I bought with my own money was a SAK camper- for Scouts 30 years ago.

The latest knife was a Benchmade RSK Griptillian that arrived in the mail yesterday- to replace an original production run Griptillian that I lost two weeks ago.

I've made knife books to keep track of my knives. Being that I own 150+ knives, it's a good idea. Each page is a form for one knife, with spaces for materials, prices, dates, etc. Then on the back of each page I glue an advertisement or photo of the knife. It's really very simple to make such a book, if you're interested. Print out one form on the computer, take it Kinkos, have them make 50 copies and velo-bind the pages with a cover.

My first knife, a 34OT given to me by my grandfather. I lost that actual knife long ag, but immediately bought an identical replacement that I put away for safekeeping - I still have it. Most recent knife, a plastic-handled Coleman/Western from SMKW, interesting because Western knives are no longer owned by Coleman.

First knife: a chef's knife I bought in Taiwan for about 10 dollars (for my mother) about 10 years ago. I also bought a decorative tai chi sword, but that's beside the point.

Last knife: Lightly used AUS 8 Kobun from JD Spydo. Should be getting here this week :D.

it was either a Kershaw DWO or a Bucklite (the one that looked like the Ranger). I just recieved a Cold Steel LTC but that was a trade, does it count? The last knife I bought was an Argentine gaucho.

The first knife I bought was a cheap $10 dagger. Followed by a more expensive dagger. Then an air force survival knife. I still have them. I can't stand them anymore.

Most recent is a RitterGrip.

Hi Bob W,

Good idea, I think I just might do that, keep track of my knives making a knifebook with info, prices, pics, etc. :)

thx and regards.

The first knife I purchased was a United Cutlery tanto :o . I bought it about 10 years ago.

Latest knife is a Fehrman Cold Fury I ordered a month ago. Hopefully it should be shipping anytime now.

First, 1958....Western of Boulder, Colorado. Yellow handles, muskrat style blades.

Last one, last week, Ka-Bar Dozier 4059 d2.

My first knife I got was a Case pocketknife when I was 9 in 1968. I knew nothing about knives except at our local hardware store they had a beautiful display of Case knives with shiny steel blades. I saved my money from returning glass pop bottles and selling crack cocaine(KIDDING). It was around $10 or so, and I went to go get one. I remember it like it was yesterday.

After about a week, the blades rusted so badly and I was so screwed up after that. I haven't been normal since that happened. :D

The last knife I received is a William Henry 12P in MOP (STAINLESS STEEL!).

I just ordered a Spyderco ATR Titanium on Thursday. I haven't got it yet.(STAINLESS STEEL!) :D
