What was the first kitchen knife you made?

These are the first two that I fully completed and put nice handles on. The blades are 52100....and a lot of it, my biggest learning curve was learning how much steel needed to be removed to make a knife that cuts well. It is easy to make a sharp blade, one that is a good performer in the kitchen is another deal.

Just finished my first one. 10" blade, sort of a carving style knife. It's O1.

Being that I'm new to the trade, I wanted to make something that I could use a lot myself to see how it holds up. I've made several skinning knives, and was lucky enough to use them plenty this season, but I hope to use this kitchen knife a lot more.

This was one of the first knives I made years ago. Also my first and last attempt at making my own handle material. I love it and use it every single day. 4.5" 1084 blade with copper pins and tube. Handle is 4.25". The center pin was supposed to be hidden, oops.
