What Was Your First Benchmade..?

I've loved BM since '01, but I got my first one as a gift in '05. It was a mini grip with a thumb stud. Love that little guy, works harder then me.

My first Benchmade was a Balisong that I bought around 1989 or 1990. My next was a Panther liner lock that bought in 1996 or 1997. I no longer have either one.

Gen 1 834 Ascent I believe it was around 96 bought it in a blister pack at BX at Travis AFB. Wish I still had it like most of you with your first.

I tend to flip Benchmades but I will never sell these three.

Pix later...but my first was a 710BK, purchased right after Doug Ritter published his first review in late 1998. I still have that knife! ATS-34 is still a great steel.

I pimped them myself. Aluminum bolsters and stag scales. I think I did them in 2000.

CQC7 Spec War I bought in the 1990's new, still like new in box and a Bougszewski mini spike that fell into the hands of one of my kids and I don't even want to look at it anymore. Both bought about the same time.

First Benchmade was a Mini Griptilian. Foolishly sold it but I have another one on the way as we speak to replace it.

Benchmade/Boguszewski 640 Mini-Spike was my first back in the mid 90's.

My first was the Rift... wait, or was it one of the mini grips? I think it was one of the mini grips now. I lost the knife outdoors and replaced it, then a year later cleaning out that area of the yard I found it! Minus a tad bit of rust it was just like I left it.

This was my first BM bought back when the original first gen Chris Carrachi design was made buy BM.

I still carry it occasionally, as you can tell by its scars it was my edc for quite some time.
