What was your first car/vehicle and when?

In 1979 when I was 16 I used all my paper route money and paid $500 for a 1968 Chevrolet Impala Two door. Dark Gray, stock 396 that I eventually had punched .030 over with dual turbo flow mufflers, Turbo400 AT and factory A/C, it was a rare car back then and it was a great sleeper! The best part was that we could load 6-8 of us into it and still win drag races against guys in their Chevelles and Camaros with small blocks on our way to the drive in. No rust, never got stuck in the snow, and could haul all my belongings. I drove that car for 20 years before trading it for an '84 CJ-7, and it still ran as good as the day I bought it. I have yet to find any vehicle that can match the acceleration and power that car had.

Chevy Celebrity, back in 1999.
I hated that piece of crap. $900 wasted.
It broke down the last time on King Street, so I booted out the headlights and shoved it to the side of the road.
Got a friend to jury rig it good enough to get it to the junk yard.
I busted out all the windows, and he drove it into the piles of scrap out back there.

Taking the city bus is almost awesome in comparison.:thumbdn:

In 1976 - 1972 Plymouth 'Cuda, 340 4 barrel and a Slap Stik automatic. Fat tires and loud pipes.

I have two first cars.. The first one I bought with my own money, a whole $500 for one running car and one for parts, a 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass. I loved that car but it was a POS. It ran for a couple of months then broke down, mostly because I ran it too hard. But the day after my car broke down I received a car as a gift from my mother because she saw how much work I put into my Cutlass, she gave me her car that she was going to sell (she had bought a different car) which was my favorite car from my childhood. It was a sky blue 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora that was AMAZING. It was a luxury car with an all blue leather interior, all computerized with a small computer type thing in the dash that told you everything from the date to how long your trip is going to take at your current speed and how much gas you will use. Not to mention it was very very FAST! :D I had that car for a while, but I eventually ran that car to its breaking point. The vehicle I enjoyed most was between my Aurora and my 1993 Chevy Blazer S10 with push botton 4Wheel Drive. I live in Arizona so all the parties were always in the desert. :D

2002 Mazda Protege 5. Quick little hatchback. I got my license when I was 15 and drove that car for a few years. The car I learned to drive stick in. Had to sell it because a friend of the family wanted something like it, and it had many miles on it, so we sold it and bought a F-150. Miss that Protege everyday though, it was fun.

1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. Wimbledon white with black vinyl hard top, completely restored with a straight six engine. Sold it a few years later to get a Nissan 240SX and have regretted it ever since. I actually tried finding the people to whom I sold it in an attempt to see if I could buy it back. Never was able to find it. :-(

Looked exacyly like this one

1969 Chevelle SS 396. 4 speed with 4.11 posi.
I bought it in 1976 when I was 15. Spent a year getting it the way I wanted, and on the night of my 16th birthday, I was ready to cruise...

In 2002 The state gave me a license. What were they thinking. I got home from passing the road test and my dad Had bought me a 1985 toyota corolla FWD carburated 1.6L 5 speed stick shift hatchback 4 door(same car as the chevy nova). I beat the ever living balls off that car, it did not have a rev limiter, One time I had it up to 72 mph in second gear. It was almost unstop able at off-roading. After a year of driving it I sold it for 10 dollars and an air ratchet. The guy I sold it to heard of its amazing offroad capabilitys, So he took it in the woods and hit a rock that jammed up the shift linkage. Him and a couple other people decided to drain the oil and put a rock on the accelerator. It just kept running they took of the valve cover and pored dirt and rocks into the valvetrain, it just kept running, eventually the underside caught on fire so they shut if off and destroyed it. It still lays in the woods upside down and mangled.

1986 nissan pickup bought in 1995. it had no grille and the driver door was a different shade of blue than the rest of the truck.

back in the mid 90's i had a 72 chevelle malibu, it was a 350 4 speed car. my buddy bought it and drove it for a few months then pulled the drive train for a 56 belair project he and his dad where building. i offered him $500 for it, dropped a 350 auto set up in it but broke the frame playing with a guy on I495... in the end i parted it out, god do i miss that car

2007 Triumph Daytona 675 when I was 17 in 2009, it's still my only vehicle. Might soon make it my dedicated track/race bike and get second one or a cheap car.

1953 Ford F-100. It started life as a red truck, but years in the burning sun faded it to a nice shade of pink. We called it the "Pinkup". That's a shot of me sometime during the 70s.

I'm getting my first car soon. Sensible side says to get a civic. Other side says get a mustang gt =)

1974 Nova in 1990 dad got it for $500 at auction. It was blowing blue smoke when he pulled it in and handed me the keys and a Chelton's manuel. He told me if I needed help finding parts to let him know then walked inside.
