What was your first job?

I conducted market surveys on the telephone one summer while in college.

Fun stuff, eh? I once took a job making phone appointments for vacuum-cleaner salesmen when times were tough. Talk about taking abuse all day and feeling like crap by the end of your shift.

7-8th grade, about 8 years ago, helping family business (we sell built up computers and accessories and such), at first I helped selling floppy disks at school, giving friends Microsoft Office lessons, and 2 years later began to repairing computers. . .

My dad paid me $10 for mowing only half the yard. He lived in the city so it was a small yard, but he probably had 1 two many to drink that day so I got off with an easy $10. The day before my aunt paid me $10 to watch her two dogs while she was outside watching the garage sale for a couple hours. So, that was an $20 for the weekend and I was happy with that.

My first job was working at a Blockbuster video in Tijuana. I watched a lot of movies, on of the best jobs I have ever had.

I had to earn my allowance from the age of about 7, helping my dad, a gardener, on Saturdays. We'd work at 4 places a day.

My first actual job was a paper route I started doing at 14 in 1977, and had it for six years. Got used to waking up at 4:30 every morning. The big hassle was having to go to all the houses to collect payment each month.
