I just got my first Kershaw today. It's a Groove. I've always EDC'd a Spyderco Endura and wanted to try something different. I don't buy many knives but this won't be my last Kershaw.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
... and a little slide lock CRKT (model forgotten) with the blade that comes out at an angle from the top of the handle rather than flipping.
1. I got a Cyclone and Storm II in the mail yesterday.
2. Since then I have purchased 2 more Cyclones
3. a composite JYD II and
4. just now a Groove off of the 'bay.
The Storm II has a bit of a wicked recurve by some standards, but that recurve is why I bought it.
I know my collection isn't all ZT's and other expensive and nice stuff, but they work quite well.
Finally I can actually answer this question! Just got my first Kershaw today, it's the composite blade Shallot. I'm really pleased with it, I was lucky enough to learn about these forums right around the time it was announced, and after what seems like an eternity of waiting I've finally got mineThanks Kershaw, and all you awesome forum guys for helping me pick out such an awesome knife!
And get a rockstar sharpener quick![]()
Thanks, guys!
Yeah, I was actually wondering about that, any suggestions? I hear since it's a recurve it'll be different to sharpen, are there any sharpeners that are made/happen to work well specifically for recurves?
