What was your most recent knife purchase?

Had to see for myself what they are all about. I choose the Hizen because it is almost a clone of the small 21 and have been carrying one for 11 mos. So I know the size is right for my uses, plus you can take it down to clean even has wrench supplied.

Black Friday local store pickup.
Think this was the best time for me to get into the Military with it's awesome new steel and upgraded construction and knowing what I know about knives now...

I got the Red M390 DLT sprint run and a Shaman with custom scales in marble CF. I think I'm done for a while or maybe not.( camera on the fritz)

I've got 3 inbound thanks to the current holiday sales and Izeplin's endorsement above. 2 Kizer's and a Kershaw. Meant it to be 4, the last one a gift for my son - but that sale didn't go through for some reason.

My Spyderco Para 3 Camo is sitting in the mailbox.

My wife said “no more knives until after Christmas” but I thought I would sneak this one in. She is having Christmas gifts for me delivered so took the mailbox key with her on a business trip. She’s home in a couple hours.

Oops! I’m sooooo busted. :p

Just picked up a Pocket Samurai, actually a pretty cool little knife for $20. Was it worth it? Yea I like it it, it came razor sharp outta the box. It's built well so far as I can tell, everything's centered, fit and finish is a 7-8 outta 10. Difficult to open and close 1 handed but with a little practice and ingenuity it's easily achievable. Keep in mind the 1 hand aspect is not really a consideration for me as it's too small to warrant any SD use or require a 1 hand opening while working on a job with only a free hand available but...

If you wasn't an unusual, well made mini Katana, this knife will scratch your itch. $20 for the aluminum versions which come in several colors. I haven't had it long enough to tell if it's anodized or coated but the black on my aluminum has help up so far. I suspect it'll eventually rub Orr leavin' a dull aluminum color behind. There is a titanium version in two colors, black and slate great IIRC for double the price of the aluminum scaled ones.

Blade is 440C with a thumb stud, don't recall the HRC on the blade but I'll let you know how it holds up down the road. :)

Tell her it was backordered months ago and they finally shipped it.

Nice!

Turns out that my 21 year old son took the key from my wife because he had something for his girlfriend delivered.

My Para 3 is safe in his trunk. Won’t be home until after a night shift though. :(

Just ordered a Rike Hummingbird off of MD for the wife for Christmas. Damasteel blade, ceramic bearings... looks like a promising little blade.
