What was your strangest knife use?

I use my Knife as a back-scratcher sometimes....

done that, great until the scratch comes back and you realize it's bloody scrape you can't reach with a band-aid

I use one of my cheap small Gerber's to scrape the pipe bowl...

i used to use my old knife as a bed/house it was really cozy just being a case peanut

on the foreallz i have used a griptilian 551 PE satin thumb stud to whittle pos airsoft m4 mags ... yep real aluminum same stuff the gi mags are made of

i have cleared a couple of nasty jams with the same knife in who knows how many incompetent peoples guns and yes i have done the ol break the ice in the freezer/wheel well/ladder stand/your mom/icicles etc

that frn/grivery/plastic SH*T is tough yes however it did mar it alittle

At a much younger age I rode my bike farther and farther out onto thin ice on a spring day. Finally broke though. Thought it was all a lark as I broke my way towards shore. Then the ice got thick enough to quit breaking and would only bow down into the water, making it super slick. I couldn't get on top of it and pull myself out. Super cold of course. I got out a small folder and flopped as far up on the ice as I could plunging the blade into the ice and pulling myself a little farther out. I kept sticking in the folder blade and pulling as I wiggled out and was finally able to crawl across more stable ice. That little folder may well have saved my life that day.

I didn't have a tongue scraper with me, and hadn't brushed my teeth yet on the day. took my knife and scraped my tongue off and voila. Breath was much fresher afterward!

kinda weird, but it worked.

When I bought my first shovelhead back in 78 it wasn't that well made. AMF owned HD at the time. Electronics sucked and my ignition went after a few years. So I used my Buck knife to start my bike. There was a little solenoid under the battery box and I could jumper two leads with the blade. Sometimes though on ocassion I would kind of get it stuck if I didn't hit it just right. keepem sharp

About 25-30 years ago I used the (nail cleaner ?) that flips up on the back of a SAK. I jammed it into the ignition switch of a motorcycle in downtown Calgary Alberta. I torqued it and the light came on. I had just walked out of a bar and I was insanely drunk. I rode that bike for blocks without a helmet in the downtown core without being seen by the police. I rode straight into a park in the dead of night. I went through the gears screaming across the park grass when I hit some sawed off wooden poles. Next thing I knew I was doing a Superman. When I was done cartwheeling and went back to the bike, the front wheel and forks were wrapped up under the engine. Not proud of it, but I used to do stuff like that.

was playing beer pong in a garage with a low ceiling, maybe a hair over 7 feet. Fabric had been stretched across the ceiling, as well as some decorative lights, by the girl who lived there to make it look nicer. Well part of the fabric started sagging low right over my side of the table, without a thought in my mind (I had drank a bit....) a whipped out my CPM M4 Military and pinned the fabric to the ceiling with one swift stab... Then played the rest of the game with my knife hanging out of the ceiling :p

Is your non-forum name Damocles?

I used my Spyderco Gayle Bradley to scrape a ton of dead skin off the bottom of my foot, dang that thing is sharp.

Used a knife to remove the glazing(?) around a glass door pane so we could get inside the home to check on the owner.

The strangest use of a knife that I have ever heard of:

Plugged a Buck 110 into my amp (instead of my Gibson SG), played it like a guitar.

Sounded great!

I cannot take credit for this, although it was funny enough to me to merit repeating.

Trim fur mats off of my cat. Also to cut out a gigantic Squadron Logo so it would fit over a large fuse box for a General's Visit. And still people ask me why I always have a knife at work lol.

Trimmed an impromptu gasket for a water pump WAY out in the desert out of a piece of manilla envelope with an old folder. it worked and is probably still on that truck!
