What watch do you wear in a survival setting?

I'm still curious and haven't received an answer yet... just what does a watch do for you all in a survival setting? I haven't worn a watch in years and I fail to see what I'd be missing out on if I ended up in a survival situation. Of course, I'm referring to a watch (one that merely tells time) and not a wrist computer (one that does this, this, this, this, that, and this in addition to telling time).

Not counting the gizmos, and discounting the psychological element.

The watch strap. If you make a paracord strap for your watch, you're now carrying a decent amount of the magical do-it-all cordage. Now you can make snares, tie splints, make tourniquets, tie lashings, and make a firebow.

Isn't that cool? All you've got is your watch and now you can make fire.

Not to mention a dozen other things. Of course, if you have a knife (you're a BF member, so you better) things will be a little easier.

The AF Spec Ops boys LOVE their Casio G Shoks. For good reason, for a 60 dollar watch you can nuke them and they still perform. You can submerge them in salt water, smack the face on a rock, drop it from 100 feet and it still works. I have a Suunto XLander Military and love it to bits as well.
