What watch do you wear?

This one sees a lot of wrist time since my old tired eyes can easily read it, day or night.

This should be delivered today. Timex expedition chrono. I just started getting into watches so nothing too cool yet but I like field and military style watches. Next step up will probably be a citizen or sieko.

Well, update here from my last post up there. My timex expedition chrono came not long after making that post but the watch was defective or fake. The chrono hand did not function nor did any hands reset when pressing the proper buttons. The battery was fine because the seconds hand worked and the watch read time but those other functions didn't work. So I'll be returning that.

Since I was disappointed I decided to go to the mall and spend a little more on something.

I picked up a Bulova Mariner... and I love it!

EDIT: Well, it looks like that original Timex Expedition Chrono that I said was a fake or wasn't working is neither of those. I just got the watch working. There was literally a damn near microscopic piece of clear plastic stuck underneath the time setting button which didn't allow it to be full pressed into the watch. The watch still told time and didn't rest in an adjustment spot but it still was out far enough that the light didnt work nor did the chrono hand. Carefully removed that piece of plastic with a small SAK and the watch works now. So it looks like I have 2 new watches. I'll still be keeping both even though I just shelled out $200 for the Mariner because I thought this one didn't work :) Oh well.... too funny.

The Citizen Pro Diver bn0000-04h is the best watch I'll ever own. Until recently, I had been beating on this one almost daily since 2004, even to a depth of 130 feet. The abuse shows, but it still keeps perfect time.

I recently decided to relegate this loved companion to exclusive field duty and replace it with the same model, which was still available at retailers a year or two ago. Nope. They're all gone now.

Came home with this guy. Love the titanium lightness and blue face. Citizen AT2340-56L. I've still got my old friend for the field and the deep.

Elgin 873 grade 21 jewel I think it's A. Schild movement.
Your watch is from 1962-1964 as that's when Elgin used the A. Schild 1604B movement in it. Same movement used in the Ball.

You guys are probably gonna laugh as you all wear fancy watches, but this is what I'm currently wearing. It's a late 80's Casio AE 30W that I fixed up ( needed a battery and an alarm spring )

The bands are just temporary as it's all I had to fit ( had this 1993 Kermit the frog watch nib in a drawer ) and I need to find a proper replacement set.
I really love this watch as I prefer a small lightweight watch , and I think the gold colored pins around the face look cool.

A fine vintage watch! I usually don't quote photos but I'll make an exception for this. Working and in good condition, it sells for $50–$100. A vintage watch is an investment

Casio doesn't have the manual, but you can download a scanned copy here:

Buy a Casio replacement strap for $10 on the bay. Speidel straps have a plastic buckle :thumbdn:

Thanks for posting something nice & a new one to me.

Your welcome, and thank you for the compliment 👍 it's not a Rolex, or an elgin, but it's suits me just the same.
The only reason this watch is in good working condition is because my dad just buys a new watch when the battery dies ( usually they're just 10$ cheapies though ) I already found the manual pdf, as that's how I was able to set it 😁.
To me it uses an unfamiliar way of getting to the different settings.
I mentioned to someone needing to get some replacement bands for a watch, and the were wondering why I would want to wear a watch when I have a cellphone , and I said that every man should have a watch and a pocketknife.
