What watch do you wear?

Just need something that keeps accurate time, is lightweight, and that Baton Rouge muggers don't want. Lol

And you can tell what time it is even when it's pitch black. All I want from a watch is to be able to tell what time it is and be waterproof enough for the shower, hot tub and the lake. And have a comfortable band. Had to use the internet machine to find a band I liked. And even then, had to do a little surgery on it.

The low price is a plus.

I have an old Luminox Navy Seals for that. I bought it used, very well used, so I don't worry about what happens to it. The original band was show so I put it on a cheap NATO strap. Now I have a second one, bought off of the exchange here. New they seem to be a little pricey but buy a beat up used one and they aren't so bad. Even though I might wear one of my nicer automatic watches during the day, I wear one of these Luminox models every night specifically so I can tell the time if I wake up in the middle of the night.
I also have a Deep Blue with their big fat tritium tubes, very bright at night. I use it for my "adventure" watch (camping watch).

Well, my other watches have been relegated to the display case. My dad passed away 01/01/22, and left me the watch I gave him for Christmas last year. He had broken it (shattered crystal) and I had it repaired, but unfortunately it was in the shop when he passed. I've got a new band coming, the first one was too short for my thick, bony wrists. This is my watch for life now, except swimming. Its beautiful, though the new strap is black.

Sorry for your loss.

Yesterday I took a quick informal photo of the whole group.
I like oyster bracelets but somehow I ended up with less than half of the group on bracelets. I also notice that now I only have 5 automatics out of 11. I used to wear almost exclusively mechanical watches but I've learned that sometimes it is convenient to just pick up the watch and go without having to take the time to set it first.
The Luminox Navy Seals watches are my beaters and I wear one of them every night for its lume. The Casio is my real beater watch.
The Deep Blue is my adventure watch. It also has tritium so I usually wear it when I'm out Jeeping and camping. It and the pepsi bezel Steinhart Ocean are my favorites.
You can see that I don't really like leather straps. I like the thicker ZULU type straps but I have a hard time finding them these days, I'm ok with the lighter NATO straps on lightweight watches.
I got the Mondaine in a trade, on a black leather strap. I wasn't wearing it because I don't like leather straps so I tried it on a lightweight NATO. I think it makes a very good field watch when it's on a NATO strap.
Just like with knives, I'm always on the lookout to add another watch to the group.

And today? Today I'm wearing the black case Luminox on navy/gray striped NATO.

Which model is the Luminox on the rubber strap? I like that one.

My wife let me pick out my birthday gift, so I decided on a Deep Blue Daynight Patriot. I just got it today, I'll try to get some pictures of it tomorrow.

Not sure about the particular model of Luminox, but I know that’s a Navy Isofrane Rubber Strap. 👍🏽
Edit: looks like a Luminox 200 Series. (Model # 3HMBM)
People have asked about the Luminox before and I've never been able to find another one for sale. I've owned it for a long time.
The strap is by Borealis. I had to order them from Spain as I remember.

That's probably the nicest Luminox I've seen. Nice legible face with numerals and the tritium, and I love watches with the crown at the 4 o'clock position.

As promised, here's my new Deep Blue Patriot.

Damn, looks exactly like an isofrane strap.
I stand corrected.
I know the reputation and price of the isofrane straps but I had not memorized the exact look. I compared today and it looks very close, very very close. I'm sure Borealis borrowed the design elements for their straps. The Borealis is a comfortable strap and works well, and has lasted longer than I would have experienced from some rubber straps.
