What watch do you wear?

Also, when you're looking, don't consider the stock band a deal killer. Chronovore Chronovore mentioned different bands and bracelets being part of the fun, and I know people that change bands according to activity, dress style, etc. Personally, I'm more of a set it and forget guy when it comes to what keeps the watch on my wrist. If I'm not thrilled with the OEM band/bracelet, I usually change it before wearing (so it doesn't adversely impact my reaction to the watch).
That said, I'll admit to having a couple of options for my Tissot. I liked the color of the stock band because it accentuated the dial color; I switched to a black beads of rice bracelet because I wasn't thrilled with the style of the OEM. I later bought a different green band that has yet to be put on the watch; but it will likely be there the next time I wear it.

You're looking at a good time - lots of sales will be happening... but that just adds to an already overwhelming selection.
Have fun!!

Not everyone likes dealing with bars but when you have a pass-through, like a NATO, Zulu, or either of the straps in the pictures I posted; it is super fast and easy. I also like getting strap between me and the case.

BTW, I love the face on that Zodiac.

Some of you guys give me serious watch envy.
I've never had anything as nice as what some of you are wearing.
I've typically worn G-Shocks and other Casios for the last 20 something years.
Lately I wear a Garmin Instinct 2, a smart watch with a G-Shock vibe.

I don't collect watches - only have had 2 that I wear, and a couple given to me as gifts by family. I've broken quite a few, largely due to riding my bike daily (crown bends, water damage, etc.).

For most of the last 2 years, I was wearing my very reliable Eco-Drive day and night:

I've been ogling Seiko Automatics for a while; finally, last week, I could not resist, and so far, I love it:

This Chinese imitation of a $2000 German watch was on sale, so I bought one and I like it. I didn't own a dress watch with all the numbers. The lume fades in 5 minutes, so it works as a dress watch: when I raise my hands to applaud at the opera or ballet, I don't look like I'm directing traffic.

Pagani Design is one of the more ridiculous Chinese watch brand names. Horacio Pagani owns Pagani Automobili Modena where he designs and builds Formula One racing cars. He also makes carbon fiber parts for Daimler, Ferrari and Aprilia.

Pagani_Imola.jpg

Pagani Imola, the most powerful street legal version of Pagani's Huayra racer. Horacio built five of these for cash customers and kept the protoype for himself: Pagani V12-R, 838 hp, 238 Mph, 1.8 G acceleration.

Horacio is a right handed watch guy who wears Pierre Kunz mechanical chronographs. Ryan Seacrest went to the 2008 Academy Awards wearing a platinum cased Pierre Kunz Minute Repeater valued at $230,000. Horacio's chronographs look more practical and I'm guessing he uses them while driving. When Pagani Design makes a good knock off with a Miyota 9000 series movement, they've got my $200.
