What watch do you wear?

I've been wearing the SRPG33 every day for a year now, and it's holding up pretty well.
It's showing some wear, but the HardLux crystal is definitely doing a lot better than any acrylic crystals ever have for me.

I kind of babied this watch for the first month or so because I was used to $40 Timex's, but eventually it became just another tool that I wear all day every day for everything.
I wear it at work, at home in my workshop, you name it.

why? ya got me curious.... ya know something bout that watch or brand and wr?
Putting a watch in water. I've been harshly scarred, by directives of "no reason to get it wet'...it'll cover rain or light splash...maybe.

...for a non-dive watch.

This one has a screw down crown. My other - a chrono - does not. It's pretty well sealed away, in there. Regardless, I'm still not getting in the pool, or whatever, with it. Ha

it's a super compressor dive watch clone. I'm sure it has some decent wr to it. I'd bet glass of water, pool use and even to 30m of depth would be fine.

back in 1991 I took a seiko quartz that had a 50m wr, no screw down crown, looked like a dive watch wasn't one down to 60m. i had no money for a dive watch back then and had to time my safety stops due to the depth. this was before dive computers. it was fine. still have that seiko.....

you'd be surprised how quality brand watches wr is good. even ones that haven't had gaskets checked or changed. even many of these Chinese made watches do decently in wr.

Right on!

Still scarred...in this case, being counselled, that the basic standard for water proofish watches being on the dial(100/330? There is no damn way!) that meant only it could be submerged, nothing more...maybe.

100 meters written on the back.

Not for nothing.....

It is getting a full replace or clean (parts)....full disassemble and rebuild. Somewhere between new and two weeks ago, i cracked the edge of the crystal, where it meets the case. For all my 'not submerging the watch'...water got in! 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😁

yeah damage crystal or crown or whatnot and water will get in. not gonna argue on that.

It's cool as long as you're not paying flipper prices. The Swatch stores are pretty stocked with them. The lume is not really stunning on mine.

If i was getting another one and lived near a store I think I'd wait for the blue moon releases and find one of those I liked.

Some people have remarked they are very fragile and had the pushers break off.

As i recall, Swatch group owns Omega. I wanna say, they own or are connected to ETA, also, providing one of the most used automatics for a number of luxury brands.

In my head, for reasons i cannot pinpoint: 'hard to go wrong, if you see one you like', is the answer.

The 'blue generation', or whatever, with watch dials, design, et al., is spot on. I love it. (Mine is blue...being serviced.)

Goes with anything at any level. It draws the eye, highlights the design(who can't pick out a Daytona at 30 feet, right?), without being pretentious or overbearing.

Our friend here...the blue band to match (beach or active stuff) is perfect...and functional. Switch to the metal band and head to your favorite upscale entertainment.

Apologies for the length (thinking out loud). I am a watch nerd as much, or more, as i am a knife nerd. Useful tools/art, both.
Across the board, AGREE: blue is the BEST color. A real thumper of a color -that auto rolls down or UP - for watches.

Exact same watch, one is blue: The blue one is ALWAYS better.

You explained it perfectly.
