I'm a big Gshock fan also. I traded into a Seiko SKX 173 a few months ago though, and my Casios just sit in the case. Nothing beats a quality mechanical watch.

. I do have alot of experience customizing G-Shocks, however, and the idea for this knife started when I made the Boba Fett Rangeman, and wanted a knife to match. I started with my own already fairly used green 940, as the wear was a good thing for this project. First I removed the anodization on the back-spacer using the Oxi-Clean method. The coloring on the parts is not any kind of special coating or anything, I just used spray paint. I figured if it chips or wears it will just add to the look, plus this project was done pretty much for my own fun anyway. Then I basically just scraped and scuffed the whole thing. The blade already had some wear, but I added to that with sandpaper. I did the same on the frame and other parts, and I even took it outside and scraped it on the concrete in my driveway a bit. For an added touch, I used a thumb stud from a Rift, and put the extra screws on the non-clip side to represent his yellow "kill stripes" (IIRC, those screws were from a different model due to clearance, but I can't remember which one). Needless to say, there wasn't much skill involved in the process, but I must say it was loads of fun to make. Honestly, I think the acid wash on your 940 might have served this mod even better. Feel free to PM me if I can answer any further, but I think that pretty much sums it up.
