What will Carothers bring to Blade 2018

Man, if I'd known there were gonna be a few UFs, I would've asked Jonny to try snagging one of those for me too!

UF preorder time!

BTW, never had the chance to go to Blade before. Do all vendors/makers do the Cash n Carry thing?

Does that mean that late attendees potentially see just a bunch of empty tables (where they might not even be able to check out a maker's work)?

Yeah, pretty much. With Bladeshow, the early bird gets the worm. If it's a hot ticket item, most likely, it's going to be gone the first day of Bladeshow.

Some makers do head out early especially of they have flights to catch or long drives, bit they are not supposed to. We are there until the end.

It was great to see some of you guys from the forum! Such a damn good community. Uncle Matty I wasn’t able to get the smaller version done, but it is a priority. It will be worth the wait.
Austin (Brian77’s son) was pretty much a beta tester this past year and really used his knife incredibly hard. Regularly busting 1” metal lumber banding is pretty hard on a folder. I won’t mention the abusive chores he did. To me it really speaks volumes to Nathan’s heat treat process. I wouldn’t be comfortable with any other material. It also gives me a lot more confidence going forward making more FM7’s. If I didn’t think I’d sound like a sycophant I’d say its a win for all of us to have Nate’s Delta 3v

Ah, good to know. In the case of CPK UFs, gone in the first minute apparently.

I'd wondered if it was something like Shot show or CES, where vendors are showing off products, so folks can check them out and maybe place orders, or do Cash n Carry, if the vendor brings enough stock.

But they still have display models that attendees can look at for the duration of the show, that way, the attendees can take the whole weekend to browse all the different vendors and makers.

I guess Blade is more along the lines of a gun show for blademakers, where they can bring their wares, first come first served. Figure out what you want, get in line early, run to the tables you're interested in and hope you're quick enough?:p

Mark, great to see you on here. Sorry to miss out on all the fun. Thanks for including the boys. Can't wait to see the new version also. Keep me posted.

I'm curious what the HDFK show pricing was? (cash pricing?) I would have definitely tried to ensure you didn't take any home :)

The same, minus shipping.

We only brought a couple EDC back. I was pleased our inventory held up pretty well. A few things sold out quickly but most people were able to get what they wanted for most of the show.

No matter how adorable you think she is, Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist is actually ten times more adorable in person. :)

No matter how ugly you think he is, CPK Mark CPK Mark is perhaps fifty times uglier.:D

Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist is, well... Nathan. <----o_O ---->

Saturday night dinner with this crew is one of the best parts of the entire show, and if there's really any issue at all, it's that poor Jo has to endure our stupidity.

...and I assure you, it is CONSIDERABLE stupidity.
