Anyone have any thoughts on what would be the perfect metal for an extreme hard use combat / survival / rescue knife?

I'm looking at D2, CMPS90V, and S7. Any other thoughts? Below is how the knife will be used.

The knife should be able to be concealed across my lower back or attached to my belt as well as have the option for concealment in street clothing or attached to a loadbearing or other tactical vest, as well as being able to be attached to a leg setup. I'm an Eagle Scout, always be prepared and for the worst possible situation.

During PDS (Protective Detail Service) if not in combat dress, street clothing will be used, hence--my concern for concealment. In SERE missions it will need to be able to withstand great amounts of force whether in CQC, CQB or general survival issues.

Will the S7, CPMS90V or the D2 be better for these applications? I saw nothing on your site about S7 or the other expensive metal alloys I mentioned. Are they there? I did see quite a few but during my units research we came up with a few other. I understand what you meant by INFI, and while I don't think there is a secret metal, there is always formulas to be discovered.

I do have an idea of some of the features I want, but not all of them. We need to discuss them more in depth. I do want vampire teeth, and I do want 304 for the bolsters. Thoughts on titanium handles or the G10? Black or gray in color. I did not see too much mentioned on how bead blasting may compromise integrity of the knife. Is this on your site? This knife will see extreme hard use, I need top materials.

My unit will most likely adopt this knife for all our unit members once we have a design we are satisfied with from you.

The guards should be designed in a what that they may be used for pressure point contact if needed and withstand the force when used. I also want a skull crusher in the butt, poosibly designed. We will need a lanyard hole as well. Tanto will most likely be the blade shape.

You definitely need adamantium for the blade....no questions.

The guard should be made of silver...the bane of all unholy, and the vampire teeth should be made of wood....just like George Washington's....I recommend apple wood.

You can thank me later.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Gecko45 returns!!! I knew he couldn't disappear from the face of the Earth forever.

Welcome back, man!

After giving it some thought, I think I'd really rather have a molecular disruptor.

"Vampire teeth?"

You don't need a knife. You need a covert robot cannon.

Good luck and Godspeed to your unit.

When I see a question like this I LOL, but then I think "how sad" ..............

I hope an eloquent and insightful person can answer the OP's question appropriately.

I don't think you really need a custom knife. There is a company called Dark Ops that make knives that seem to fit your needs perfectly.
