Unobtainium sounds good to me. Or a blender taped to a stick, with a whole bunch of extension cords.

I don't think you really need a custom knife. There is a company called Dark Ops that make knives that seem to fit your needs perfectly.

Nope, I want custom. I was thinking maraging 300 because i have a sports car made out of that. It is used in a number of applications such as with NASA, and in our missile casings. But than again I'm just looking for some insight, not smart arse comments like most here.

While we like Dark Ops Fighting Knives, we were look at something a bit more custom. Although their CTV2 ("Chromium, Cobalt, Tungsten, Vanadium, and Molybdenum with surgical grade stainless steel! CTV2").

Are you honestly saying that you have no idea why your post might not be well-received?

So you're a black-bag spec-ops super-secret operator who drives a custom Cobra sportscar and works with missiles. Are you also dating a supermodel?

red, that wasn't the reason for my suggestion

http://www.jayfisher.com/Blades.htm

bout 1/3 of the way down the page you'll find a list of steels and the pros and cons of each. In addition, you'll also find a plethora of useful information, all of which, if you take the time to read and digest, I'm sure will point in the right direction as to narrowing you search for the "perfect steel".

The reason I am posting this link, is because there is no such thing as the "perfect steel" and that is why your post is being flamed.

and another site for education purposes.

On another note, I can design a knife for you with all of the aforementioned traits.
