What Would Festus Do? 119 Temptation

Goose, you should've given him a 119 hat pin and told him next year you had hoped he'd be ready for a real 119.....then give him the knife, you gotta bust his chops:p
 
Just got home from the b-day gig...

Well...I read all your posts before I went. And, as I told my better half, those Buck Buddies of mine are good men. Except maybe for that rosconey2 who kine tugged at my heart ;) ("its your brother-keep it and show it to him with the story about how it was going to be his").

Took a bunch of buff wings the wife cooked up and the 119 in a daisy gift bag with pink tissue all puffin' out. He really liked the 119. Even on the way there I was thinking, hell, not many of my other brothers will bring anything but their appetites and thirst...and heck, at least I'm bringin' a big ass bowl of wings.

So, I guess ya all passed my "are you nicer than Goose?" test.

would tell me to keep it and get him a six pack or something. I am proud to know that ya all proved me wrong and you are the kind of guys I'd let take my sis-in-law out for a date...or borrow a buck or two.

Know what "be prepared" meant...that one may not appreciate it...but Brother K really liked it...can tell, have known him for years. And you're right, Festus wouldn't pack a 119 in nylon. And Miss Kitty looked rode hard and put away wet with the odometer spun around at least once.

Thanks to all even though I thought about getting him a Maglite when I was Home Depot last night.

Bottom line is what I have always told my kids, "it's easy to choose the right"....I guess... :)

What a pleasant surprise as they have not carried Bucks before at this store.
Happily I pay the $34 for the 119. Actually, the wife paid.

Here's the deal, I've been EDC'ing the 119BR. Too pretty I'm thinking.
Plus I am intrigued by the nylon sheath...which I can't really see in the clampack too well. Wondering if it hangs lower on the belt than the leather ones?

Wondering if I should just keep this pup and get the b-day guy something else????

Don't feel bad about f:thumbup: eeling guilty. I do it every time I buy a knife
for someone else. I always want to keep it for myself.
But, it will make you feel better when you do give it to
your Bro.
