What Would James Bond/Jason Bourne Carry?

I believe Bond carried a CRKT Sting in Quantum of Solace. It was handed over when he was being "brought in" for questioning.

I think Bond would carry a titanium pen with hidden blade inside, which also shoots laser on the other end with of course, GPS in the middle and also a hidden detonator inside, etc. whatever they can fit in there.

However in reality, (sorry to go off topic a little), knowing Bond movies nowadays it's all going to be corporate sponsorship and product placement, for example take a look at his watch, Ian Fleming chose a Rolex way back when Bod started, but now he wears an Omega Seamaster, since Omega pays millions. I read somewhere that it will be Tag heuer in future movies depending on what kind of deal they strike.

So, the most likely knife to make it to a Bond film, would be from a knife company with the most money who can actually pay sponsorship to bond franchise - I'd say Victorinox, maybe Benchmade? Whoever has enough money to place their knife in Bond's pocket. Just my thought.

Bond is more of a high end auto guy

But Bourne is all karambit

Bond...

Bourne...

Craig is definitely a Rocky guy.

Bourne: whatever was laying around.
Bond: OTF or one of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighters.

In "From Russia With Love" there was a boot dagger of some type hidden in his special briefcase, but I don't remember him using it. Connery used random dive knives in a couple films, and Moore famously used a throwing type something off his belt while mountain climbing in "For Your Eyes Only". As has been mentioned Craig used an OTF in "Quantam". Oooh, what about the yo-yo circular saw blades in "Octopussy"? Very practical and efficient!

Yes, generally speaking, James Bond is a little soft but I do believe that Connery and Craig are the exceptions - they have a bit of a mean streak.

As far as the 110, I was trying to imagine something that was available during his time period that he could have acquired along the way.

I am not sure but I think the first BOND film was in about 1962.

Bond doesn't carry a knife, he has his Walther PPK. Maybe a little boot knife integrated into his dress shoes.

Bourne knows Krav Maga, he doesn't need a knife.

I was thinking Bond would use a small OTF too, or a small double-edged dagger that would be clipped inside the front of his suit coat. The older Bond movies weren't known for their accuracy with weapons though.

As for Bourne, he doesn't need a knife. His whole body is a weapon.

Bourne don't need no stinkin' knives.

(Bourne with Bic pen versus guy with knife :-)

I could see Craig's Bond with an Emerson Le Griffe, as well as the noted auto knife. Connery's Bond had the briefcase throwing knife which, if memory serves, looked like a downsized Russell Sting 1a. I could also see him with one of the smaller FS daggers which were, in fact, carried by both Fairbairn and Sykes.
