What would you do?

You know what else, Sergeua Sergeua , I totally missed what I can do to fill my grip with that little knife until I saw your pic. I was kind of over fobs because most of the knives I carry are on the bigger side, like the Pac Salt, Resilience, Caribbean, etc., but I think it's time to go back to the fob for this little gem of a knife, to make me fall in love with it all over again. Thank you!

I'm digging it, I do that a lot, well I start to change stuff around then lose motivation. for me it's 50/50 choils ,length of blades and always tip up. I'll try and post up some pictures of my now worthless knives lol.

I think I know what you mean. They are surely not worthless to you, but after all the personalizing, good luck getting anyone to buy them if you need to raise some cash. So I found out.

Was that Texas Jack secondary blade an oversharpened wharncliffe? Or did it come what that weird profile shape? I definitely like the look of it better in your second pic.

That's a pic I snagged off the internet because I didn't think I had a before of mine, most of the stock photos make it look more like a normal pen blade but this pretty much shows how they come. The shape is similar to the case tribal lock.
I found a picture of mine from not too long after I got it.

Here's what a normal pen blade from case looks like, you can see the blade on the Texas jack kind of drops more gradually and the belly isn't quite as deep.
Just doesn't look right to me compared to a typical pen blade.

Oh , I just remembered that on many knives I add a small sharpening choil to those who don't have it and need it.
I hate my stones digging in creating that recurve and gouge in the blade.
Do it right like most slipjoints and it doesn't really snag on anything while cutting, I didn't exactly do it right on my 110 but made sure I did on the 110lt.

apart from the fact that they will be used,
i would like every bit of metal fittings to
be ti-ni plated and blades stoned washed.
and yeah, i would be tossing out thumb
studs and drill out thumb holes in every blade where possible.
wait! and did i mention tip up clip fixtures?
simple fixes which probably already exist
factory fitted in the folders i own :-)

Now that you mention it, I could have been able to tell by looking at the stag they are not the same knife. The one in your first post that has the funky profile, yes, ugly. The before pic of yours, not so much in my opinion, BUT, I do like what you have done with it. That clip point is very slick.

When it comes to handles made from animal parts, I'm afraid I don't know one from t'other. I reshaped a bone handle for someone once, and I decided then and there never to work on that kind of organic material again. The smell!

When it comes to handles made from animal parts,...The smell!
ah, the personalised scent imprint of
rotting teeth ;-)
it took almost near 2 decades for the bone
scales on my filipino made balisong
to completely leave....
you know, if there was some way to
customise a perfume into scales
that would be indeed a way to hit pay dirt;
considering just how bad
some handles can start to smell
like a road kill.

Want to do this to my ckf gratch.
Just making straight line from a bit of a curve, that's it. Removing very little metal and it looks totally different.
Whaddya think?

I been thinking for a long time and not touching this one. Those flat areas on top, irritate me at certain angles. They go too far into the beginning of the blade and offset the balance for me. Ideally I want a regrind and not have them. Then I'm cool with original shape.

Interesting. I have never found a knife that I didn't feel I could make better suited to me (in some way).

Well I tried the fob last night, and it didn't quite do it for me, so today I spent a little time reshaping the handle with the work sharp, with the goal of removing material that pushed my hand back on the handle. It worked! The difference is less than a few millimeters, but it's amazing how such small changes can completely make or break a design for us. Also since the last pic, the spine has been fully straightened. Behold my Paradelica:

And I forgot to mention that along with the flipper delete, I increased the detent strength. That was pretty much necessary on this knife either way.

How ya open that thang?

Its on ceramic bearings with medium detent, so just a thumb and pointer finger pinch to start and use the thumb to continue...i think there is a video in the other thread...
