***Update***
On wednesday of this week, the plant manager called me into his office. He basically told me he reviewed the tapes and did not see anyone that should not have been there in the time frame of the knife arriving. Fast forward to today. I came in at 6am and there was a message from the receiving department. What was said went like this, " After thourough cleaning of the department area a box with no label was found behind a shelving rack. After opening the box we realized this was the missing package you have been looking for." So, thanks to all my fellow members here encouraging me to do the right thing and trusting, my XM-1 is now in my hand. Thank you.

Side note: Seems strange it had no label and was found behind some storage, huh? I have learned my lesson.

glad you got the xm-1. i received the manix yesterday upon return from vacation.

thanks, i will leave feedback shortly

Glad to hear everyone got their knives. Seems the receiving department didn't have any trouble in actually receiving a package but getting it to the right person needs a bit of work. As you said, lesson learned.

Great news. I think both of you handled this situation in a very friendly and civil manner. And by you staying true to your word and sending out your Manix even though there was no guarantee you would
get your knife just shows the community that your an upstanding member and I would be happy to do business with you in the future.

just to clarify, i got the manix 48 hours after he shipped it. its now in my possession and in the exact described condition prior to trading.

thanks again armyguy

-side note----

i have been a member here for not too long. since joining i have made around 15-20 trades/purchases from members. all of which are so friendly. i think ever person i trade with we go back and forth by about 30 emails just keeping each other informed on the trade/sale and this is by far the best forum community i have been a part of. very happy to be here and after this trade its time to upgrade my account to finally be able to give back to the forum that has given me so much education and so many new friends.

thank you everyone

Im very happy to see everything worked out for everybody. It sounds like whoever tried to lift your knife might have been spooked in the process of opening the package and tried to hide it for later, but when you put all eyes on the area in question he couldnt get to it.. I think I watch too much TV to think things out like that. lol. But I am very glad you both received your knives, you are both honest men. ArmyGuy, sending the knife off knowing you would likely get nothing in return, but still sending it back because you are a good hearted person. JWBlack, offering to pay half the value of the knife out of the kindness of his heart.. both men showing true honor, honesty, respect, and heart. This forum is filled with good people, Im proud to be apart of this community.

I hope neither of you have any problems in future transactions. Good luck in the future, and enjoy your new knives!
