What would you like for others to bring to the gathering?

Ok, just for the record, we are going to Ethan's house.

If there is a Becker Knife and Tool that you want to see, it will be there. You can use them. Don't worry.

Ethan has Becker's. Even some you never knew existed.

Since we are all in the giving and taking mood. I would be interested in a good pack, to trade for some of my wares! Preferrably a green or brown one. Not real important on make or model as long as it suites my needs. Would also be interested in any domestic, imported, micro, or homemade beer I haven't tried. (Good luck on stumpin me on that one) and to Derek. Would love to see Murphs Grunt again. Not tryin to be a smart a$$! But would love to be able to compare it to something new I made for Murph that we plan on debuting at the gathering!

Hey TMHunt,

What kinda beers are you into? We are coming down from Toronto and could bring some local microbrews. There are a couple of lovely pilsners we're enjoying as well as some pleasant IPA's.

I'll bring my 5 & 12.
If someone can supply a forge, I'll bring an anvil, hammers, tongs, & some rebar for bashing on.
(I heard a rumor someone was commenting on how I pack "heavy" in chat the other day...)

I say we rig something up Vik. One of those air mattress blowers and a charcoal grill or similar will work. I won't have room for a forge, blower and coal.

I've done that before with a hair dryer & disposable grill.
heck, a piece of 1.5" iron pipe feeding into the fire pit or my cast iron cooker would probably work...

If it comes in a bottle and is called beer and I can swaller it, its good to me. I have dabbled in making some homemade brew myself. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make a batch for the gathering. But Murph and I intend on bringing several bottles of local micro brews beer for all to enjoy and share. Most importantly. Share!

Sounds like a plan! We'll bring whatever beer we can. I'm sure we'll find some use for it!

Wonderful. I picked a great time to quit drinking.

AAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHA............................................not. :D

I'm probably gonna bring most of my knives. Not all of them cause some of them are just cheap throw away...

But I want someone there to bring Beef Jerky!

If y'all are serious, I would LOVE to pound on some hot metal and get some forging tips! Never done that, always wanted to.

serious -- but we're gonna need someone to bring the Conan soundtrack or it just won't work right.

make sure you see some Reinhardts :) by which i mean the Blackjack original model.

no BK8 will be there that i know of. that was last time :)

Vik, I can talk to Sam and see if he will let me bring what we need for the forge. He has a school to go to that weekend but I may be able to borrow stuff. What exactly do you need so I can ask him.

Got the forge thing solved Vik. I've got a mini gas forge I can bring that runs off of the little coleman propane cylinders. I had forgot all about that thing. We can pound out some knives if we can come up with some scrap. Do I need to bring tongs, hammers, anvil etc. or do you have that covered?

What kind of scrap? I think I can come up with some metal, at least some old lawnmower blades if nothing else LOL who knows what is lurking out at Dad's place!

It's got to be small Thrill. The little forge only has a two inch mouth. Anything high carbon, like coil spring etc. will work and will harden up.

If you wanna bang out some knives, try some old files, the really big ones, and look at youtube if you don't know what I'm talking about as far as how to turn a file into a knife.
