I would love a blur made with sandavik 19C steel hardened to near full hardness of Rc 62-63. For me, no coating is needed as I don't allow rust.
Another dream knife is a Blur in S110V, same hardness as the upcoming release of the steel in the shallot. This should be some serious good stuff. Better hardness than S90V without chipping. This would put in to a higher wear resistance catagory than S90V, better edge stability, and slightly better toughness ( no small feat in a knife with this carbide fraction/total)
It might outdo ZDP for some things too, as well as S90V. I can't wait! Joe
