What would you like to see us make next?

I would love a blur made with sandavik 19C steel hardened to near full hardness of Rc 62-63. For me, no coating is needed as I don't allow rust.

Another dream knife is a Blur in S110V, same hardness as the upcoming release of the steel in the shallot. This should be some serious good stuff. Better hardness than S90V without chipping. This would put in to a higher wear resistance catagory than S90V, better edge stability, and slightly better toughness ( no small feat in a knife with this carbide fraction/total)

It might outdo ZDP for some things too, as well as S90V. I can't wait! Joe

While I've also begged for a Taboo, I like Joe's thinking. A S110V Blur with a frame lock and full G-10 slabs would make a very nice addition to the Family Blur!

something with a full flat ground Recurve. 3.5 Inch
S110V
Titanium Frame lock
G-10 scales like the ones found on the 0300/0200 With drilled out titanium Liner
Machined Pillars instead of the back spacer
Finger choil on the blade like on striders, etc
Phosbronze washers
big smooth pivot, but not a heavy bolt like on the ZT's.
Tip up/down, left/right. with maybe a no vis wire clip?
Manual, with flipper, and if possible spydie hole instead of thumb stud?
built like a tank but pocket freindly, aka thin and light.

haha that'll never happen though..

"Bladeforums Special Edition 2009" Frame Lock Carbon fiber Random Task with vg10 blade and tip-up or tip-down carry. I KNOW this will be a seller! Just make it available to BF members!

I would like to see a stiletto style knife made with the same flipper assisted opening system as many kershaws (ie. my leek) along with kershaw's great blade steel and style. It would have to have a fairly grippy handle, not like the plain leek (maybe zytel), something that can be used to really hold on to. It would be more of a tactical/defence knife then the other kershaws. It would have a razor sharp tip and blade. It would be a very thin blade, but with as solid and sharp a tip as possible. perhaps a 9" knife. 4" blade? would be handy if it could have some form of swingaurd, even if just a little. Also it should be legal in australia. sorta like the cold steel Ti-Lite 4" except better.

lol let me know what you think

thanks,
-Luke

Every idea so far is great! I like the way you think guys!! Please keep them comming . I will print and post this list on my project wall and study these concepts. I agree the Taboo, Wrinkle, Pack Rat and Spite are valid production pieces. I have some two bladed folder designs in sketch form already and have been thinking about that for a while. I definately think a ZT Air Crew/ Pilot knife is needed. And we need some more fixed blade options. Keep them comming !!! This is awesome!!

NO KEN YOU ARE AWESOME. I would like to see another Bad Ass ZT. Im not too picky, you seem to know what youre doing.

Ken, I'm a Tactical officer up her in Canada. I currently carry the 0100 on my Level 4 LBV. Great knife, I also use a ZT0200 for every day use, an absolute bargain for the performance.

Here's a rough spec for ya. Basically an 0100 but with a glass punch, wire cutter like the 121 and some aggressive serrations to cut someone out of a fall arrest harness/seatbelt in a big hurry. The sheath would also come with pocket for a shroud cutter. The most important feature is weight.
My LBV weight is 50lb plus a minimum of 5 mags, MP5/M4, pistol and all use of force ect, comes to almost 70lbs of more, plus what ever breakin tools and gear we gotta lug in. Walking around up to 10-12 hours or more in this sh*t and one will soon realize every ounce that you carry counts.

I use my 0100 as a "I've f%$ked up so bad that I've lost my rifle, pistol, and friends that this is my last chance knife" and it fills the order nicely.

I just wish it could fill the detail of an egress knife a little better with a weight savings.

I'd also love to see a baby 4"-3 1/2" 0100 at a weight of 6oz or less with a very small sheath that wont take up room on a duty belt.

Great knives Sir.

Edit to add: Just for Sh*ts and giggles, how about a zt combat Tomahawk or Smatchet. That would just be cool, real cool to have.
