What would you want in a Delica 5?

Looking around there isn't too much I see for improvement. But I personally love my Dragon Fly 2 Wire Clip, in carry it appears to be stronger, allows deeper carry, and if I'm not mistaken it would be just a few hairs lighter.

Also every other Spyderco knife I have and have seen in recent has better gimping. I believe it is a new standard now for Spyderco. I would like an up graded Gimping job, like my Paramilitary 2 and Dragon Fly 2.

Possibly a Gimped choil like the Paramilitary 2 and Dragon Fly 2, but I'm still undecided if it would look good/be functional.

Oh and same VG10 please, it is by far my favorite steel to sharpen.

Definitely a choil. My stretch has one and it looks like it will fit in perfectly with a delica/endura 5

I personally would prefer a choiled Delica. I totally appreciate it on my byrd Meadowlark2.

I do understand that opinions for choils on the Delica/Endura are totally split. I would propose two versions, one with a choil. Gotta keep the Delica/Endura purists happy. There is really nothing else I would like to "improve"... I like the FRN, the pattern on the scale, color options, ergos, VG10... I think we're a ways away from a 5. With that said, maybe we can start the choiled version idea on the 4!

I do however would like to see the return of G10 versions.

FCM, choil was what immediately came to mind for me as well. That's the one thing I always wished it had.

But now we have the Nishijin R...

Choil and possibly a slightly different overall design
Like getting rid of that gap :D

I'd like to see a return back to the pointy tips a la the 3's and earlier. Nothing against the rounder tips, I just prefer the looks and penetrating ability of the points :D

I agree, a choil version and one sans choil would be great!

I really doubt it will have a choil. Fourth generation going to fifth and no choil yet, so I doubt it would happen. The Caly 3 would fit the bill for people wanting a choiled 3" knife. The Endura has no choil, and the Police or Caly 3.5 fill that area. I could see and would like to see it with a wire clip though. Spyderco makes a lot of the options people want in a knife, they just make it in a different model. Full frn handles? Get a Salt series, same handle no liners to my understanding.

If they made a Salt with the same blade shape as the older Delicas, I would.
Alas, they don't.

A convex blade is what you ask for? That seems like something that wouldn't be that hard to accomplish on your own. What the Delica and Endura need are g-10 scales. Everything everywhere should be made with g-10.

Zero interest in a choil on a Delica.

I would, however, like to see a deep carry pocket clip and new scale colors.

Definitely a choil. I was looking at my endura, which isn't too far off of a delica, and I thought that it would be a good idea. For example, when the knife is closed, to move the top part down a little to cover that gap. And on top, have the choil part.. kind of like in a PM2.

No choils for me; plenty of other Spyderco models have them. G10 versions would be nice and maybe some more steel options. I love my ZDP-189 version, so maybe one in S30V or some other steel would be cool. The knife is pretty good as is.
