What WSS themed gear do you have on the way?

for me Fiskar 23.5'' chopping axe'' and GSI halullite Soloist cookingset. I've also been eyeing "Snugpak Sleeka Force 35 Black Rucksack" from bensbackwoods.

And looking forward to borrowing my friends camo sled w/ harness to haul around junk in the snow.
I plan on going on a 4day ice fishing expedition with my wife, leaving on the 27th.

My feet grew a 1/2 size in the last year. Strange to be going through a growth spurt like that in my late 30s. I can understand growth around my middle, but my feet?

It's because your plantar fascia, the big tendon that connects the ball and heel of your feet and creates the arch, has loosened up / stretched for some reason. Arch flattens out, your foot spreads out more from front to back as you put your weight on it.

Suggest, instead of new boots, first trying a pair of semi-rigid non-prescription orthoses, such as Superfeet (I have two pair and love them). Unlike gel insoles, they support the arch, preventing your foot from splaying out, and cup the heel (or they should), which keeps your heel's natural padding under the bone where it should be. They're much cheaper than boots.

Thanks for the info, but I already use Superfeet in nearly every shoe or boot I own. Maybe it's time to see a specialist to make sure everything's ok. I've got no pain, but it might be worth a co-pay to see that my feet are in tip-top shape for the warmer weather when I hope to be putting in the miles.

Seems that Beautiful Puukko I posted...may be lost in the mail. Everyday that goes by makes it seem more and more likely.:(

A fellow in Indianapolis got his last week and he shipped them the same day.

Thanks to this knife going missing, I almost had an Anxiety Attack(would only be the 2nd time in my life lol). Is it bad that it makes me want to cry? lol.

Good News: I drank the Farmer coolaid...and it tastes goooood. Amazing knife.

I have the Koster W&SS Neck Knife, Survivor, Bushmaster and Gen III Bushcrafter coming at some point this year. Also a BHK Bushcraft. And (Hopefully) my Skookum.
Gear wise, I just received two Standard 32oz SS Guyots.

I think I'm going to order a 1095 bushcrafter from Great Lakes water jet. Any suggestions for the slabs?

I have a couple photon II lights and I ordered three SAK from FelineVet, a scribe, a rally and a super tinker.

The scribe and one of the lights is for the wife, she is always saying "I have a knife but not a pen, I need a pen", soooooo she get's the best of both worlds..

and for everyday survival I have Edgar Meyers and Chris Thile's new CD coming along with a Bela Fleck and the Fleck tones I don't have(three flew over the cookoo's nest). I need music to survive

hoping to get them soon..

Well I still havent gotten my JK EWOK, so thats still on order. I'm also looking into picking up a pack, looking at a Jansport Carson (external frame, let the debate begin). Perhaps a lightweight tarp as well, but I really am questioning the decision as the places I camp are always really buggy so I would probably need a mossie net as well, so I'm thinking I might as well just buy a light weight tent. I've also been looking at a french surplus pup tent from sportsman's guide, but theres the bug element again. Looks really cool though (if a little heavy).

Also waiting on Les Strouds book, I had an amazon gift cert for 15 bucks that was about to expire and it came in 2 cents under shipped.

GSI cup & 38oz Standard Guyot from TwoWolves

Tan Izula w/ kit & Stropping Compound Kit from knivesshipfree

I don't know how you guys can stand waiting a year or more for a custom knife! I am on week 9 of 8 for an Superlight bivy from Mountain Laurel Designs and I'm freaking out!
