Just ordered a 2000 MT LCC D/A stonewash P/E. Looks to be a Gen 2 and NIB. I seen those go for $600 before, so $425 isn't too bad.

And here's my gift to myself.

It's a Darrel Ralph spring assisted 5.5" folding dagger. It's made from titanium and the blade is S30V. It is wicked hard and wicked sharp. Paid dearly for it and it is now the standout of my little collection.

Nice DDR ! i am a real big fan of those mad maxx blades!real, real cool

+1 on the DDR

I have a 4" celtic stiletto Maxx on the wait. He's re-furbing my (prolly one of the first) hollow ground D2 5.5" bowie Maxx. I also have an HD Maxx with Reese Weiland getting tricket out to my specs.

Thanks, guys. This is actually part of his "HT" line. But even though it's one from his "midpriced" line, the action, craftsmanship and overall quality are fantastic. Got it right here in the forum exchange section.

You're going to need that diamond stone too....but DAMN that knife looks nice.

Thanks, I touched it up and put it through some basic tests and its a great slicer thats for sure, holds a real mean edge. LOVING the D2 steel Queen uses...

I got an RC6. Love it so far, also got a $25 bass pro shops gift card and picked this little cutter up..

All I got was a large Sebenza 21 with African Blackwood inserts, but I am satisfied!
I overlooked this, surely your pulling our chain when you say "only" :p that is a SUPER SICK knife, I want one. Use and enjoy the heck out of it man

My friend, you hit the jackpot! All of those are nice, AND show a lot of thought went into them. Love the kydex sheath, going to have another one for the new Busse?
Cutter, you know Im gonna :D Goin with black kydex this time. That knife is staying in the family so it will see some action, cant wait :)

Good choice in beer, too! Fat Tire by New Belgium is brewed just down the road from me.

I didn't get any knife from a family member. I did get a Gayle Bradley last week, and a bunch of cash to buy what I want on Christmas. I'm thinking Sharpmaker and an orange millie!
You got that right. After opening my steel hart at 8am I had to pop one open just to make the moment near perfect. I say go for that sharpmaker & orange millie, better yet, dont get either just right now, get the ti one instead once its released.

I got my best xmas knives ever. My little nephew picked me out a little buck slipjoint toothpick. Cute little knife. I really liked that he wanted to pick me out a knife, it wasnt his moms idea. He picked it out himself :)

My bro is buying me a Busse Bushwacker mistress with pumpkin handle and tanker grey blade. I can't wait to get it, but it will likely be a few weeks yet:)

Great story man. Awesome thing about it is that in 20 years you will still have that knife. Must say your bro is a pretty cool guy, if I wasnt so cheap, I would of forked out a little extra for those multi colored g10 handles, they are my fav. I really like them w/ tanker, nice choice

Whenever anyone asks me what I want, I tell them a knife. They think that after a while I would want something else but IMO, a knife is one of the best gifts you can get for someone. Not only is it a gift that keeps on giving if you actually use it, its not like other stuff that will eventually lose its functionality/value. Knives last forever, if your not an idge-mo that is. Its kinda like jewelry for man only much more purposeful. My mother had to almost have a stroke when she saw the price of that CRK, but her bro (knife shop owner) told her it was the one. Once I opened it, she knew she did good. She still thought it was a crazy price for a piece of sharp steel. TO counter this thought, I reminded her that in a couple years, of all the gifts she bought this year (lots, shes a giver), the only one that will still be around to see her future grand kids, as good as the day she bought it, and more than likely worth more $ down the road, was the knife she bought for me.

Some little fella's uncle probably showed him a cool blade and piqued his salivary glands. Now we're creating our next generation of BladeForums members! :D

Well said. I really like your style dericdesmond!

My mother in law gave me a handmade dagger that she brought back from a trip to Africa she went on a few months back. She actually got to see them being made in a small village she visited. It's a very crude knife but it would get the job done if need be.

Xmas was very good this year. Both blades were purchased from BF member Sweet. Photo's taken by him too.

I received 2 Queen patterns in D2, the mountain man and a slimline trapper one blade clip. I also received a presentation Bowie (Winchester) that is growing on me a bit. My wife also got me a thick stag Taylor lockback scrolled bolsters. It was a great christmas for many reasons.
