Managed to find a nice looking Böker 493 barlow online, so that's on the way as well now, seems to be in excellent condition.

Thinking this will be interesting to compare with my Schrade 206.

This one just arrived today. Bark River Kalahari semi-skinner in A2 and Bocote wood. May be my perfect deer hunter, we'll see this fall!

Very nice, Jeff. I've heard lots of good things about those Kalaharis. And I'm glad to hear that they plan on using that handle design on some other upcoming releases. :thumbup:

Yes, the handle feels terrific. I've had several BlackJack knives, but this is my first Bark River. It did not come as sharp as the BlackJacks did, and had some discoloration on the blade's tip which I had to buff out, but the handle was so beautiful I didn't want to send it back. It is to be a user anyway, and I love the design.

I have one of these mini bowie knives (just over 4" overall) headed my way. I have a couple of Linder branded mini fixed blade knives that impressed me when I received them. Though they were Linder branded, they were both made in Spain, and both were really nicely made novelties. Hoping for my luck to continue with this India made mini bowie (Windlass Steelcrafts)... but I know Windlass can be very hit or miss on quality control. If it turns out to be a hit (rather than a miss), to my diverse collection it will go!
