Oh, if you only knew the whole story surrounding this one. Soon, my friend. Real soon.
That's pretty mysterious, Bob!Guess I'll have to be patient (they say it's a virtue). Fortunately, I can keep myself occupied by doing the taxes this weekend; come to think of it, the tax forms are usually pretty mysterious to me, too!

Thanks for reminding me. I haven't done mine yet, either. Too bad knives aren't deductible.![]()
I agonized for days over getting this one or one of the Northfield variants like the African Blackwood or Paintbrush Red bone, but in the end the black bone won out...You will be pleased with that knife. It was my most recent purchase too.
Is that the feathered buffalo horn? It looks awesome. I've been looking at a Queen stockman with that but the pics on the vendor's website aren't a clear as your pic.I've got this little guy on the way from one of our member-dealers:

No surprise there, Derrick. I took photography classes in high school and my dad has been an expert level amateur since I was a kid. I was merely observing that it is sometimes difficult to see fine details at almost any vendor's site. When the new knife owner takes a pic it's a labor of love.Good pictures are not as easy as some might think.![]()
Yep, that's the feathered buffalo horn. A lot of them are coming out close to black. I had to look around to find one with that much color. However, when you find the right one, it's worth it. They are just beautiful. I can't wait to get this one in hand.
