The Davison on top shipped today...photo by seller. I'm eager to get a smaller Davison in the mix; the shadow pattern makes it that much nicer!

I don't feel too awful posting two in a row...because, technically, my much better half ordered this one for my upcoming birthday. I saw it at Blade Show and have been wavering on it ever since. Sadly, I don't carry such an item so much in the 'burbs of Dallas, but it WILL be going with me the next time I return to my mountains in Eastern KY. I know this may seem a bit odd, but in the 50+ fixed blades that have passed through my hands, this one probably has the best factory sheath I've ever seen, which is the most exciting part of the package for me. The blade, the handles, the guard...heck I like it all. Big flat grinds are the best.

Joe, I liked the look of that when I saw it in A.G.'s catalog. Now that you've verified it's a fine knife my finger is getting itchy.
 
Gary, I'll happily take as many pictures as I can for you, likely next Sunday or Monday, as I plan on fishing stripers on Texoma for my 35th :)

I have 2 of the Blade Forum knives coming when they are ready, and I also lucked into being able to order a 71 in canvas micarta that should be on the way soon. These three should be the end of knife buying for a while for me. If only I had a knife for every time I've said that. . .Wait a minute, I do! ;)

Very nice...I love those! Don't have one but I keep going back and forth on getting one. I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later.

I did however order the 2015 Case/Bose Cattle Knife in Ebony.

Winter is coming...I'll have plenty of time to gather some good ones. The Davison family picture should make a sight for sore eyes (and my sore wallet haha)
 
In my quest to expand my experience of inexpensive ethnic working knives, I have a Mercator and a Higo No Kami that should arrive this weekend.
 
Had my finger on the trigger for a Hess bird and trout though I'm no hunter at all. Then I opted for this theirs issard sabatier 11 inch chef knife. It's new old stock recently rediscovered in the factory with original rosewood and hand ground carbon blade. Figure I'll get more use of it.

I just pulled the trigger on a gec 22 with copperhead bone as a belated birthday present to myself. I usually don't care for gunstock patterns (like... at all) but this little guy just spoke to me. Now eagerly awaiting the shipping confirmation.
