Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Perfect blade shape for a knife this size with good steel and easily serviceable construction. Definitely one of my favorites. I have one in ebony, natural micarta, and another natural that I colored the scales black.
Nice and agreed , I’ve got the itch for another maybe some stag or similar 👍🏻

That's niiiiiice. Looks just like engine turning. I wonder how it's so perfect. I keep trying to do that with hand tools and it ain't happenin'. At least, not small, uniform and tight like that.
Sorry for such a late reply to your wondering.
Cosimo just showed me his simple tool he uses for checkering...and lots of practice.

But how does he applies force to that tool to perform the actual cuts on the bone? With such a form I don't see any efficient point to strike by a small hammer or something.

Good point. Perhaps alot of rasping back and forth.

I've always liked the idea / look and the size of the KA-BAR drop forged wrench knife, but didn't like the missed opportunity to use their Crome Vanadium steel like a real wrench instead of SS .

Well long story short I received a Midway USA gift card for Christmas and saw it as an opportunity to stop dragging my feet until it's too late.

I have to stay away from a certain river, too.
Sorry, nothing works picture-wise.
It's a Japanese petty knife with a blade 6" long and 2" deep.

Been on an AG Russell kick, so many good knives made for him over the years. I love the Cattaraugus CM12, and then saw this large toothpick with pearl and abalone covers at 25% retail (after inflation from 1998) because of this scratch:

Assuming the pictures aren't otherwise misleading anyway lol. I usually only buy knives with blades under 3" or over 4" (general carry, food use) but this is my favorite toothpick pattern (bolster lock, not too exaggerated in general) and I love pearl+abalone (both are nacre, super interesting material and amazing structural coloration).

IMG_8722.jpegThis is what I’m expecting to receive next week. Now that I have your attention, I’d like to pick your brains regarding canvas micarta scales. 😜 I have a couple of Rough Rider knives with similar scales, and have noticed that when I oil the joints, sometimes oil will soak into the scales. It usually becomes unnoticeable after a little pocket time and use, but I was wondering who else has experienced this? Any suggestions to avoid it? Thanks in advance. Lance
