A Canal Street Stockman finally made it to the top of my want list. It's been on the list for quite a spell.

Sunset bone.

Sounds very nice Frank. Look forward to seeing the pics

Well, I have been avoiding work a good bit this morning....and what originally started out as research, soon transitioned to window shopping....and then the inevitable....

.....so now I have a #68BAL Northfield White Owl Burnt Stag Clip to look forward to :)

Oops! :D

So much for trying to buy LESS knives! :D

Scruff, I'm convinced you'll be very pleased with the W.O. (if not give it to me....:D) It's a really handy pattern, just the size pocket carry I like anyway. The three I have, Clip Tidioutes in Ebony and Kryptonite and a GEC Stainless have no build faults at all. The stainless one is going to be used a lot for slicing fruits etc as I've always disliked the flavour carbon imparts.

Recently, I've been lucky with knives: The White Owl arrived this week, a vintage Schatt Morgan Swayback last week, so I thought it time to take the foot off the pedal a bit (expense on new water heater and taps, aarghh!) But, well, I need that Pemberton so that's on reserve and a couple of nice looking locking knives from RR too. Why should I need more??:D:D;)

Thanks, will

Cheers Will.

I'd actually been looking at the Pemberton pattern...but it looks too small for me. I was also researching this and that, looking at patterns, variations and so on.

My #53 has given me a liking for uniform, equal ended, cigar handles. I hadn't really realised until this morning that this is what had caught my eye about the White Owl pattern previously. It wasn't until chatting with Uncle Andi that buying another GEC so soon was made feasible, he advised me of a US based seller with most favorable service, prices and shipping costs.

It's also a good opportunity for me to tick off another handle material and brand, in the form of Northfield, that I had on my list. Stag seems most befitting for this pattern. I'd looked at some of the Stag offerings, the 'genuine' types I had seen available were, as I found described by a fellow forumite, a tad 'old potato' like.

Anyway, I'll be sure to share a picture or two once it arrives. It already in the post :)

^^Hard to go wrong with the SBJ. I wish I could locate mine! Been without it for a week now :(
I've got a cocobolo GEC Outlaw coming to make me feel better.

Ah, the CV SBJ...I was lucky enough to be able to buy mine back after I stupidly sold it in a fit of minimalism. I think it really is Case's nicest regular production knife right now, especially the CV/chestnut bone version.

Woooo........!

Tracking says my knife is waiting for me at home.....now to figure out how to get out of work early.......
