Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Thanks Gary and scruffuk, I am looking forward to seeing what Joel's knives are all about, this will be my first Joel Chamblin.

Kris, that is DEFinitely something else! I look forward to seeing your photos of it.

I'm beginning to lose hope on my most recent order. It's now 10 days late, I've contacted the USPS 3 times and opened a "case" each time (receiving no follow-up communication, or anything), and the last place it was seen was halfway across the continent. :(

USPS must stand for Usually Slow, Possibly Stolen. I sure don't have 80 bucks to waste.

Found this, a Karesuando Nallo lockback and ordered it. Steel is Sandvik 12C27, blade lenght 63 mm so this a small lockback. There is an 80 mm version available, if I find this too small. Edit: the screws might make this a non-traditional, but still it is a lockback and needs two hands to open. I like the long pull on the blade. Might this be made to Karesuando by EKA knives?

Got it, took one look at it, returned it. Not worth the money, blade was off center closed, so-so sharp, opening was not soft. When open there was some lock rock. Finish looked nice enough but fitting was bad. I sent an e-mail to the seller and I will get another knife I have wanted, a Laguoile (R. David) with horn handle. Lets see how this turns out.

I have an Otter 165K with camelbone scales on order... I got a delivery from them last week. But I got the wrong knife... LOL ... So I sent it back ;)

Ooh Andi, is that the spear point with the wide grooved bolster?? You'll have to post done details when you get it if so. It's a good looker.

Hi Thom,

I bought a sheepfoot one, but they don´t seem to have it in stock/production right now. They told me via Email I gonna get one when they get the wrong sent knife ;)

However - I gonna post some pics in the "Mighty Otter Is Walking" thread when it arrives. I´m already looking forward getting it. (As you can imagine)

I just ordered BHK Outdoors St. Patrick's Day special. A hunter green bone, single D2 bladed slip joint made for them by Queen. Can't wait for it to get here. At a little over 4 inches it will be my largest slip joint to date.

My 120day was March 6th, I just talked to Mr Morris and was told he was about 2weeks behind schedule (this was last week). I can't wait!

Talked to Mike earlier this week, should ship out sometime this week & be in my hand in the next 8 days! :D

Northfield Burnt stag single blade 73 with lanyard tube incoming!

I got this same knife in bocote when I first joined this forum but sold it thinking it was redundant alongside my sodbuster jr. File under: youthful folly.

Had to sacrifice last year's forum knife but we never bonded for some reason.

I finally decided to try a GEC melon tester, with spear and pen blades in elk stag. Should be coming this week.

Trying again, I picked up a blue handled Case wharncliffe Copperhead last week, when it came it looked like someone sat on it. And it was new in the box, not a mark on it  Plus the main blade was peeking out above the liners. The vendor took it back, and I found another that should be here tomorrow. Plus I had a call from Mike at JBF Champlin, I should be picking up my stag Eureka Jack this week, yeah!

I really like that BHK green handled folder, if I wasn't going to be so broke I'd grab one, but oh well...

And I had a nice surprise today, the two knives I sent to Case for adjustment last month came back already. And they're perfect, so the little jigged yeller Delrin Peanut is in my watch pocket now, and I'll be carrying the Case/Bose Coffin Jack tomorrow

GEC Tidioute Eureka Jack (why is it called that??) in Antique Green Bone is on order.

REALLY looking forward to this one as it's a most unusual pattern. Non brass is an appeal too. Too bad I wasn't able to board the Champlin train in stag, but I had no idea at the time how to order, their website not informative, sigh!

I hate to keep bugging him, the wait is killing me though! I'm hoping I shows up this week....

We should have ours in the next week. I was worried about botherin' him too, but he's been super nice & answered every email of mine within 24hrs.

Just put in an order for my first peanut. Very excited to see what all the fuss is about!

It's in orange peel bone with a bail. I would have preferred to get one in CV, but the bail was really appealing to me on this model.
