Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Impatiently awaiting my first knife in D2, a Queen #70 in green linen micarta. Apparently Queen is having issues with the supply of micarta :(

After I send two money orders out, i'll have a Buck 303, a US made Schrade 80T stockman, and a Buck 112FG coming my way!

I would have had a Hen and Rooster Canoe coming my way too, but i'm not made of money, I have to go slow.

Teenagers like me don't have too much money :p

I can't wait!

Especially since I may become employed at a local deli soon, and that means I can finally get that GEC White Owl i've been lusting for!

Summer job, here I come!

Nothing on order but I'll be stopping at Shepherd Hills in Lebanon Mo. around the first of next month and will be picking up a Case medium Stockman or two or three.

I went a little crazy today. Here's what I got coming to me;

GEC #92 Eureka Jack - 2 blade, calico bone
GEC #65 Ben Hogan - clip blade, buffalo horn
GEC #15 Boy's knife - 1 blade, smooth white bone
Northwoods Mini Moose - ebony
Kershaw Leek 1660 ODBLK

These will be my first Great Eastern knives. Im thinking (hoping) most of them will be here on Friday.

Joey, that's a VERY good start! I hope you will be pleased (didn't know the Eureka came in Calico Bone)

I believe a Queen Teardrop in Zebrawood is flying (hopefully not swimming :D:eek: ) across the Atlantic to me in Europe. Thanks to a friend in the US

Regards, Will

In a moment of weakness I ordered another case cv peanut, this time in chestnut bone, and an opinel 6 in carbon. I have not had an opinel before I'm ashamed to say, but I'm looking forward to finding out why they're so popular.

Received, last week, a Hen & Rooster Whittler (Bertram) in red bone. Quality is OK for a mid priced knife but I could do without the gaps in the liners. Still a nice knife for the price.

Received today, a GEC #55 Hound Tooth with a Wharncliffe blade wearing Bocote wood. Sharpened it up and it's ready to go. The 55 pattern fits my hand perfectly.

Next week, I'll be receiving a Boker 4 blade congress in Grand Canyon Bone. I'll update when received.

All purchased from Mike of Collectorknives.net. Thanks Mike!

UPDATE....

I received the Boker today and I'm impressed by the fit and finish of this knife. No gaps and all blades have consistent pulls. Not too easy and not too hard. Just right. Carbon blades, 3 3/4" closed. German made. Bone fit is excellent where they meet the bolsters. Brass liners, no blade rub. Excellent quality at a mid price point. If I had to pick out one minor flaw (if you call it a flaw), it would be the shield. It is not flush with the bone. It is recessed enough to cause a sharp edge at the bone. Not a big deal. The shield is pinned which is a plus. I consider this one an excellent buy.

Two slim blade Opinels with fancy wood handles, a #10 Olive wood and a #8 with a Bubinga handle. Also considering a #15 Walnut wood and a #8 slim Ebony. The #8 and #10 slim knives look like they will make excellent picnic and barbercue steak knives based on trying the normal Opinels in such sizes for steak knife use.

Got a Queen 11 in D2 with birdseye maple handles and another Queen 11 in yellow delrin with an EO notch.

A CSC Pinch in Panama White Micarta has caught my eye as well. Also on the hunt for a Queen Burke small barlow.

Fox Nuragus 19 (85 mm blade).

Not nearly as glorious as everyone else's hauls - but I enjoy them nonetheless. A Steel Warrior Range Rider in yellow. For $5, I'll get more kicks out of it than I would for 1/2 a movie ticket :P

As of today, the only thing I have on order is the 2013 traditionals forum knife. I really looking forward to it. Wish I could have bought 2 of them.

Isn't it nice when something really surprises you. A few days ago I placed an order with one of my favourite online retailers and today the package arrived. Aside from the stuff I had ordered for my self (just fuelling the addiction) there was something I had ordered for my other half.

Until very recently she has shown no interest at all in what I carry in my pockets apart from when she says 'lend me your knife a minute', but then I got a peanut and she commented that she liked it.
So...being unsure if she actually meant it or not and not wanting to spend a lot I money on a knife she won't use (and of course she may not have one of mine), I bought a Rough Rider Tiny Toothpick in green something. I've never had one before and with knives I am a bit of a brand snob so I was curious and inspected it when it arrived. It is ok, not well finished but respectable given the price, ignore the CHINA etch that takes up a great deal of blade and it'll be ok for her I suppose.
Here is the interesting bit. It came sharper than any knife I have ever received. Hair whittling sharp. I have numerous GEC's, Cases, Wengers, Victorinox, Sheffield made ones, customs but a six quid Chinese knife came sharper out the box than any other.

Well I'll be....

someone please explain?

In addition to the 2013 BF knife.

I just recently ordered:
GEC 92 in calico bone
Robeson Mastercraft stockman in red bone
Robeson Mastercraft Stag Whittler (birthday present from my better half)

On the custom fixed side:
Gravelle PCP in S35V
Steingass Bowie (cross between the tomahawk run and sleepy creek with IW scales provided by myself).

Whew, think I need to go make another entry in the "you know your addicted" thread.

I think its been over 2 years since I bought a traditional, but that's about to change. I'm waiting on a GEC/Northfield #76 "Western Outlaw" in red bone: link.

I wasn't gonna but I just ordered 2 of the 440c #62s. One in maple and the other in antique amber bone.
