Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

This should be here Tuesday. :D

While I really like the pattern, I just never warmed up to the 'green bone' version of the #92 (if anyone is interested in it, PM me). So I pulled the plug on the one I should have ordered in the first place:

Good call. I still don't "get" the Eureka Jack from pictures, but that white bone is sure is compelling, innit? I ended up with an unexpected knife* (Boys Knife 2-blader) covered in the same on the strength of everyone's pictures, especially TLARbb's of his own Eureka Jack.

*Unexpected right up to the part where I saw actual pictures of an available one over at Old Hundred, clicked, then camped out at the mailbox. As t'were.

~P, there is something about the eureka jack in hand that makes it irresistible. It's not much different in some ways from the 15, but the 92 frame has a quality to it that is endearing, but difficult for me to describe. I think my 2 blade spear boy's knife in cocobolo is possibly the best looking knife I've bought in a long time, but that 92 is very hard for me to put away. I may just have to have another in striped buffalo horn.

Knife swapper 85 jack blackwood.
I think I'm done buying new knives.

From now on, flea market finds only.
Buy local, cash-only, vintage knife diet!

Owen, we'll follow up with you in a month and see how you are doing. :D

I've carried mine about every day since I received it. It feels great in the hand. The blade combo is nice. I love the green bone, which is funny as I didn't like it until some of the experts here started posting some nice pictures of it. I'm interested in the new ones, but I sure wish they would have stuck with the bare head design. I am looking forward to seeing the new bone versions.

Just have to twiddle my thumbs a while longer...

Very cool. I never saw a Tidioute half-congress with a pen secondary. MAKES PERFECT SENSE!

great pocketable pattern.
Enjoy!

I've been talking with Mike Alsdorf. Just about ready to order a single bladed peanut from him. Just working out the details.

Aye, well I'm interested in comparing it with the BF knife when it arrives, similar make up but the BF will be a Jack. I would imagine GEC will keep the frames the same size for the BF... Anyone have an update on that?

I've been jonesing for a modern version of the venerable 'Sharpfinger' for quite some time now. Blind Horse is now offering it in D2 steel, called the "Clipper." My willpower crumbled on first sight:

Now the waiting begins...

I thought I had missed the boat on these coffeehouse acrylic saddle trappers, but Bob put one on the bay so I jumped.

the only thing I have on order is the '13 forum knife. next month i plan on picking up a Northwoods #54 in stag, and a Northwoods bullet jack in cocobolo if they are still available. I am also hoping to eventually score a ebony charlow. Been dying for one.
