Whatcha listnin to oo oo?

Love their first 3 albums, but for some reason never got into And Justice, other than One. Might have to give it another try.
Please do. Its a fucking masterpiece. Shed a tear reading this. It was the first album I ever owned (6th grade, because of one). That same xmas I also got Nirvanas nevermind, Snoop Doggs Murder was the case and from a cousin I hardly knew,,,,C & Cs music factory but not their first album with that cool song 😂 Needless to say AJ4a is imo one of the greatest metal albums ever.
For me, it has nothing to do with listening to those albums. I'm not comparing the latest album to previous ones. If I did that, every album would fall short of Master of Puppets.

I'm a big Metallica fan and loved almost all their music. They were why I learned to play guitar. I actually taught myself from their music, got a couple music scholarships, etc. I used to play lead guitar and had a lot of their songs memorized. Gave guitar up a while ago though.

I like every album they've done except St. Anger and 72 seasons. St. Anger was a bad experiment during a lot of inner turmoil in the band and their follow-ups to that were good. 72 seasons is just.....bland in my opinion. It seems really flat and boring.

That's just my opinion though.
Right on sorry I got a lil defensive for my big uncles. Well said. Have not checked out the new one,,honestly havnt even heard the title til now. The album with the blended faces of which I paid for was a bit of a let down
But honestly never really gave it more than a spin or 2. Will check out 72 soon.

What was the first song you learned guitar?

My first 2 (got them at the same time) were Metal Health and Pyromania. First Metallica was Puppets after hearing Battery on late night radio and was like wtf was that? To me Lightning and Puppets are their peak.

First songs I learned were "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and "Fade to Black". I think I learned them about the same time.

Not surprising since it's the same riff for both. ;)

Now learn One.

What is it with Track 4 and that B fifth.

^Im not all familiar with Quiet Riot but as a Huge Jason Voories fan from the 80s/90s that album cover always got my attention. Gonna check it out while working tomorrow.

Quiet Riot is definitely worth checking out. Randy Rhoads was one of its founders. It was one of those bands at the time that were their own worst enemy. They had one of the greatest guitar players of the decade (or of all time, depending on one's perspective) but they simply couldn't get their shit together as a band. Unfortunately, they didn't find mainstream success until they reformed after Rhoads went to go play for Ozzy. Metal Health was released after Rhoads passed away and the song Thunderbird is a tribute to him.

Iconic album - definitely one of the definitive '80s greats.
