What'd be a good beater to use to practice for sharpening a BK2?

Man I wouldn't think of convexing my BK2 right now. I love the living **** out of the blade geometry on that thing. Ideally I'd keep the exact same angle but be able to maintain it.
 
Anyone ever try to put a scandi grind on their BK2? I'm curious what that would look like and how it would perform.
