What's a cheaper Sebenza alternative?

Very well put. In my opinion, there is no alternative to the Sebenza. You either own one or you don't. Never settle for something less, because you will most likely end up regretting it and want the Sebenza again.

I tend to agree with your statement. However if you want something thats "sebenzaesque" then get a Buck Mayo or a BM 635. The Mayo is closer but is no sebenza. Just keep buying knives and eventually you'll say "I am ready to buy a sebena" If you dont reach that point, then dont worry about it. I am still not at that 2k point. I cant see spending 2k on a knife....but that doesnt mean I wont be there someday:D

For the money, I would go for a Buck Mayo. I have both sebbie and the Buck Mayo, does not make any difference to what I use it for as an edc. They both work! If I lose my buck I shed less tears!

or since you really seem to want a Sebenza, why not go look and hold one? I think you will not be happy with less. I wasnt.

I agree Django606. There IS no alternative to a Sebenza.

I've seen a few Sebenzas on sale on the b/s/t forum and at a great price. Prices are good on eBay too if you want to go that route. But the problem is going to be "Should I get a large classic or regular or maybe an inlay model what which inlay material?" Then you'll see the different computer graphic designs and their fixed blade models then your head is really going to spin!

Those really bump up the price, though. I like the Sebbies, clean lines, awesome functionality and strength, plain looking in an elegant way.

Might get one sooner or later, but I can't really justify it now.

After I bought my first Sebbie, the only other thing I shopped for was a smaller one to go with the big one I have.

It can be argued that I've SAVED money by not buying any others! :-)

each knife has its own personality sebenza is a very good knife i love mine, but is not for everyone. Try it try te alternatives and get what you like most
