whats a good bush craft knife for around 100$

Checkout the Makers forum, many good knives by great people here from the forums. I have done some reviews on some of the knifemakers here on bladeforums and I am all about supporting those guys, they work hard to give us knives that will work even harder.

Check out what Tonym, tknife, j williams and mtnfolk mike are using, that will tell you. Those guys know all the makers around here.

I know. I know. I woke this mornin and was gonna snap some pics of this bad dog, but my wifey took the camera with her to class. I will add some when she gets home.:o

At 3/16 in thick, mine is a brute. No doubt it can take anything I throw at it. Its a wicked blade...

JK kephart. 4in O1.

+1:thumbup: on Stomper

David Farmer has some great blades at low prices as well.

Breeden Knives has some great stuff.

Koyote's blades fall in that category as well:thumbup:

KnifeSupply has a BRKT Foxriver for under $105

Falkiniven F1 is a good bet as well.

There's a bunch

"* Full-tang drop-point hunter-style blade, hand sharpened with special convex edge, is razor sharp. * Slender .100"" thick blade reduces drag when skinning and fleshing, easy to resharpen. * Steel choices are Crucibles CPMS30V, a U.S.A. made stainless steel that has a dense fine-grained structure that holds a great edge; and D2 Tool Steel, one of the great traditional standbys of custom knifemakers and Knives of Alaska. * Double drawn and cryogenically treated for maximum edge holding ability* * RcH values between 59-61 * High quality, vegetable-tanned, oiled leather sheath."

Thats a pretty cool knife Tony, I love the sheath.

Do they have any knives where the blade goes right to the handle?

Isnt it great there are so many badazz custom knives that fall into this price range? This is a great world we live in boys......

Tony,
I remember you posting something on those bad boys, just by looking at it, it makes sense to me. Good find.

You can get one of Dan Koster's bushcraft knives in your price range. I think his O1 bushcraft knives are right about $100. I have one in 3V and wouldn't trade it for anything. His forum is here

Be sure to check out Scott Gossman blades too.... both the PSKsr and WTK fall into your price range and are great knives.

It is a great blade ,I also own the Cub bear which is full tang and razor sharp,I am looking at a few more of there blades as well....Base camp,hatchet,fillet....I used the Alpha wolf the fix up Halibut for the grill and the fire steel to start it....sweet knife,Down side to customs if you need the Bushie "now" is the wait time.

Dans Bushcraft in 3V is hard to beat. you may have to wait a lil though, unless you can score one in the for sale or trade threads:thumbup:

Just scored one - but it is quite above the price range when you add a sheath - and make it in 3V

However, Muskrat Man makes a nice example in L6 that is 140 or under with a sheath and made to your specs.

Grohmann makes decent bushcraft blades at reasonable price. Here's my number 1 in carbon which was $50 bucks up here - shaving sharp :)
