It is nothing like those. Truly a timeless movie. I was only 5 when it came out and was 9 or 10 the first time I saw it.

I highly recommend reading the book “Liver eater Johnson”, about Jeremiah Johnson. Makes the film seem like a Disney movie, an awesome read.

I had never heard of Jeremiah Johnson until now. Just looked up the 1972 film. You learn something new every day.

It's a must see! An American classic with almost cult like following.
