I'm still learning alot and continue to make just practice knives
These are all in O1 with either cocobolo or Paduak
I have 3 more practice knives to make before I begin making what I really want to.
ignore the pin locations please, these blanks were made months ago before I knew that I had to think ahead about what I'm doing..... :-)

Nice looking knives. Have you read anything by Murray Carter by chance?

The larger knife is a copy of a Dozier Guides knife

Heres a laminated blade I forged out while I worked on my damascus. it is 1084 core with a 15n20 highlighter and mild steel wrapped sides:
Just did a quick profile and grinde to see the core the grind is a bit uneven towards the tip and why the core is not exposed evenly...I think that will grind out good

That's a pretty flexible blade. It must be hard to grind.

I've been busy this week with 33 knives finished up... here's the latest, a RF2 framelock with a deeply carved frame.

Here are two more beauties that are destined for handles!!(handles are on them now as a matter of fact!) these are turning out really good!!(I also got a 52100 stencil so I'm marking the steel type on the blades now)

Man I just love making these hardening lines!

Nice! I have a several vintage/antique German and English razors and they do nicely, but I'd always be curious to a custom modern one.

What steels do modern ones usually come in? and what sort of price might a custom one cost a gent these days?..

I won't discuss sales or pricing here but steels are another story. After trying quite a few different steels, 52100, AEBL, W2 and s35vn are the best suited for razors in my shop. 52100 and AEBL are by far my favorite.

Done now it is sheath time
