Matt, copy the "Direct" line from Photobucket instead of the Link or IMG line. The forums here add in the tags, so those other lines end up with excess tags and show the address. The "Direct" line is just the info you need to paste into the insert image here, so you'll get just the picture.

Cool bajonet. Did you make the attachement yourself as well?

These were salvaged from an M9. I'm drawing them up today to make my own. Not sure if I will for this particular one or not. But definitely for future ones.

Thinking about doing it for this one in particular to make a custom shaped lug receiver, closer to the antlers natural shape.

Just in case anyone wants to make an M16 bayonet themselves. I can provide solid models of these components. Obviously only a few of the dimensions are critical to fitup on a rifle, many can be modified to fit your blade/style/method, as long as the relationships between the receiver and guard are held, and the T slot in the receiver and hole in the guard are kept to these sizes.

ETA: This T-slot can be cut with a #404 Woodruff keyseat cutter.

I may have to take you up on that sometime. I had someone ask me about this a year ago.

Here's my latest. It's a Gyuto 240 mm in O1 at 63 HRC. The spine at the heel is just under 2 mm and it tapers to the tip. It's a full flat grind combined with a convexed grind towards the edge.

The handle is Micarta and mahogany and has a slight taper.

Did a fun little side project on and off for the last couple of days. I'm planning to build a hiking trail soon and realized, I don't own a machete. So, I decided to make one :)

We had a scrap of CPM S35VN laying around the shop that was just right for this project. This thing is definitely a bit crude, but I'm more concerned with the function than looks. As a lot of you know, I'm a CNC guy and don't have the bevel grinding skills that a lot of you do. It was fun to make this thing completely by hand just on the grinder.
.100" thick with a short convex grind
S35 @ 56HRC
13" blade
21 Oz. with the sheath

Excited to use this thing tomorrow!
