Thank you, knew it would be something different. If you don't mind, would love to try it out. It just has that old school worn look, just perfectly done. The knife is just as beautiful (the hamon, looks san mai? perfect) but currently looking at leather sheaths.I’ve purchased so many different stamps to make this texture, but I always go back to the original one I first made it with, which was a rock I picked up off the ground on a camping trip about ten years ago and used on a sheath I was making.

Have you run rwl at that hardness in the field before? Be Interested to know how that goes like on a big game animal and if it is too chippy around bone.Making myself a new hunter. Its RWL-34 at 64 hrc. Big wheel hollow and blue Scotchbrite finish after P240 grit. Now to pick a handle. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up with Suretouch, that stuff is just the best for this application IMHO

Been making my rwl field knives @ 61 ish which I have been very happy with but nice to go a little harder if possible
