Elmax 3.6 mm thick, about 12 cm blade length, cross cut zebrawood, bronze and fake ivory. That little extra line on the ricasso that does not belong there is from the etching process - along with my makers mark I managed to etch a little beauty mark there too:/

Sunday Fun-day! Tapering tangs day. Crappy pictures, sorry. I no longer have a disc sander, or this would go much quicker. Flat platen, over to the granite surface plate. Tangs are tapered down to ~.025-.030 each.

Sunday also means slow cooked Red beans and Andouille! Here's a shot of the holy trinity cooking in some Olive Oil.

I bet you're going to like it. Only thing that takes getting used to is the racheting tension system.
Thanks for the heads up. I still haven’t set it up yet. I’ve got a little bit left to finish on my new bench before I bolt it down. I had to unbox it all because the delivery man left it out in the rain all day. Hopefully I’ll get to fire it up this weekend…

First few knives I have made after taking most of the fall and winter off to work on my house renovation/moving. Still need to do some final cleanup but happy to get back into the hobby and knock out a few hunters. (8670 - Top is in Wenge wood and bottom is Firedog red micarta).

I had a blade blank from Indy Hammered knives and picked up some scales at the Texas knife show. Finished off this knife this morning - and I misplaced my note on wood type.

Anyone have source for sharpened blade blanks? I like the Indy Hammered knives look, but I'd like to get a variety of 4-5 more.

Jantz has some nice blanks in 440C and Damascus, I believe.
