What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Thanks guys! I learned something on this one as well, namely that I need to grind a little deeper when I use that super thin diamond bit on the dremel for tang work. You can see that my diagonal cuts near the rear of the handle are gone.

I should add that is because I didn't dress the spine on mine before doing the tang work. It was still "as heat treated". I did it after I put the scales on, and still had a few thousandths to remove before all the purple steel and coarse scratches were removed. I should note that I did dress the spines on the Bitty and Boomer I started yesterday right after I did the tang work and subsequently went over a few of the cuts again before I attached the scales. They're both at the shop waiting for me to shape the scales at this time and I believe they will come out more like how I intended. I was just in an excited hurry to get mine done so I didn't take that precaution. My sadness over that fact is functionally non existent. I love my new knife.

I was a month behind on this thread. I see lots of cool stuff happening here.

Some like Prevails, some like tantos, maybe someone will like this. I do.

I know some people love their thumb ramps. I always want to push them down into line. 😜

BTW, I've been practicing my MS Paint skills.

Here's a combination I probably never would have thought of if it weren't requested. Carbon fiber with blue liners and spacers and a large jade G10 spacer.

And I brought a printout of something I photoshopped on the computer this morning.

Subversion of expectations... I'd have expected the G10 above and below with a carbon fiber spacer. It's certainly interesting.

Matching the liner and those two dividing lines is a nice touch.

I'd say thanks, but it wasn't my idea. 🤷‍♂️
