What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

In the microscope? No. It's a generic "steel under microscope" image search used to craft my world's tiniest violin meme. Thanks for making me explain the joke, it's even funnier now. 🤨😅
 
But to be fair, if I had found and used a MagnaCut under the scope image it actually would have been a lot funnier. Touché

I slept at least two hours last night. I also revised my 15N20 cutting instructions, and found a cool service that will waterjet parts for me out of phenolic linen (Micarta) so I drew CAD files for, and ordered tang housings for all the partial tang stuff I have coming down the pipe.
 
Dad's dad was a prominent local cartoonist who had done caricatures of most of the public figures in my home town. He was very well known in his generation. Whenever Mom and Dad brought us kids to Grandma and Grandpa's it was a common occurrence for us to sit at the kitchen table with him and draw pictures of, well whatever we wanted. Art was instilled in us at a very young age.
 
After Dad passed, Mom found a booklet of some of my old drawings in his things, and gave it to me. I might be persuaded to share a little bit. Maybe. I have to think about that. I think many more coffees will be required for this decision.
