What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Slow going, but a little more progress in the shop. I'm holding off to show pics until I have handles shaped on all current items on the bench. But this afternoon Chris and I whacked the thistles in the cow pasture. There were quite a few since it's been at least a couple weeks since we last did. He with his 8670 machete I made him a few years ago, and I with my 15N20 Barax machete. He held the camera for me briefly so I could share a clip with you:

Nearing batch completion. I was hoping to have these ready to ship tomorrow but with this week’s numerous difficulties and set backs I’ll have to settle for ready to ship Monday. Still feeling blessed.

This, or something very similar, is happening. A sheet of .210" 8670 has been ordered. Will be heat treated by Andy Pomorski. Once the polls close, and we know which design it is, then I'll see about fitting the Bonkerzillasaurusrex on there too. Otherwise, as many short swords as I can fit, plus my new pseudo spearpoints. Short swords are 21 3/4" overall, with 16" blades.

David,
I think we all GREATLY benefit from the fact you are passionate about making knives that you are willing to try most anything. Many knifemakers settle on a few patterns that they like and that is it. For those of us with an idea but no skill to pull it off, you are The Man! I have thought up some ugly ducklings in my time but at least I got to try them out ;)
