Good evening friends. I have finalized the two sheets that just arrived today at HAI for cutting.
Sheet 1 is .210" 8670 and has five of
bikerector
's newest design, a large camp chopper, with a provisional name of "GKC Fireside", ie a knife you would have with you by the fire. These are all spoken for by the man himself, of course.
I was also originally going to put a bunch of hidden tang daggers on this as well, but I decided that I have more than enough of those in the works at this time, and wanted to offer some big and tough knives since the steel is perfect for it. Hence, we have four blank blades just over six inches that I can make into anything from the cleaver shapes they now sport, to drop points, seaxes, tantos, or just about anything, really. I oriented these perpendicular to the sheet grain, but with the blade height and stock thickness, lateral strength on these will be more than sufficient for any knife task.
Sheet 2 is .138" 8670 and has two updated Speed Gladius variants, a Barax machete, two desert Serpents, a custom Persian and a customer requested fixed blade interpretation of a Kershaw folding knife, all of which are spoken for.
Additionally, we have a Skinny Fat Bowie XL with a pointier than normal tip, and nearly 7" blade, and two Midnighter Fighter updates with slightly refined handle design, and 6 3/4" and 7 3/4" long blades. These last three do not have a specific destination yet.
