What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Hi David,
Id love to understand how to get in touch re an order for a small fixed blade/bird trout type. Whats the best way to get in touch?

Good afternoon friend, and thank you for your interest. You are welcome to introduce yourself by email and let me know what you are after.

But first, for your convenience, here are the current up coming options for stainless steels. The MagnaCut run knives will be more expensive, but ready sooner than the AEB-L. However, you cannot go wrong with either for the stated task. Or if you are looking for something in carbon steel instead, then I may have some suitable blanks in the shop already that I could start on for you within the next few weeks after I work through some existing orders.

Please be aware the lead time on these blades for heat treatment has increased due to my heat treatment provider's circumstances, so the initial timeframe estimates given in those original posts have been pushed back somewhat.

And this page will give you an idea of everything I can do with my current shop and skillset.

Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing from you!

David

This is finally ready to come home and get its mineral oil treatment. I kept putting it off, because it was only almost done when empire outfitters showed up, and I ended up running into a ton of headaches during the build whenever I tried to finish it up. I was going to put it off today even but the job I was going to start has to go on hold while I await a tool I didn’t realize I would need for it. So here we go a finally done dagger.

What I don't understand is how this makes about half a dozen birds since I moved in three months ago, yet the day I moved in, I found only one dead bird in there, despite the house had been sitting empty for over half a year. Shouldn't there have been a dozen of them in there?

When I was a kid, my dad gave me 25 cents for everyone I killed.

My dad was a major bird lover.... Seriously.
They are bad at killing native birds, and laying Their eggs in others nests
He'd give me money for every starling, cowbird, and crackle.

David, I'll offer You that too. ;)
