I NEED A NEW FAMILY PHOTO, to include the Boomerang, trout Midirang, EO Zoomerang, 8670 Tanto, Pranto, K-tip Kitchen knife, and Itty Bitty Bitey Baby Birdie Gen 2...
I love that guy. Thanks for doing something nice for him.
DocJekl is super generous and while I loved those knives, like he said, I am maxed out on fixed blades and I really hate to have a knife just being stored and I'm not a great one to switch out and use a different one the next day. Like a lot of folks on this forum finding the one knife is a life long journey that may well never be completed, some have been very close but none have held ground over all just yet. Similar to watches, Doc had sent a watch to me while he helped with getting mine repaired, once I got my watch back, I made sure his watch was as pristine as possible and sent it home. He asked me again a little while ago if I was sure I didn't want that watch back and I said having two watches is frustrating, for me at least. I finally have a watch that I like enough to not browse for different watches, and that took a long time. Now only if I can apply that to knives...

Also one of the reasons I have given away 12 knives this month…. (Edited after I after added them all up, it was 12 not 15).DocJekl is super generous and while I loved those knives, like he said, I am maxed out on fixed blades and I really hate to have a knife just being stored and I'm not a great one to switch out and use a different one the next day. That's just like my green frogwood tanto, and I think I'd named it Tantosaurus Rex; but maybe that name also went to another knife?
Smart idea for this. Really like what David did with it, would be cool to have something like that around for random tasks. So you have a leftover piece from the dagger. Seems a fun little piece to do something with. I'm picturing a spade bit like tool for chamfering eyelet holes. Or an arrow shaped letter opener would be fun.
I believe it ended up as kit companion piece for a 6" ferro rod. A short section of sharpened blade followed by a square spine for shaving and striking.Smart idea for this. Really like what David did with it, would be cool to have something like that around for random tasks.
